Food is always good and the service slick and professional. We visited during one of their frequent power cuts, but the kitchen continued by candlelight in a 'fog' (no extractors running). It has a unique ambiance and is ALWAYS busy so book early.

The only reason we go to Paternoster is the Noisy Oyster. Everything about this restaurant is truly amazing. The menu is creative, varied, and consistently up to top standard - compliments to the wonderful chef! The ambiance is quirky, fun, and relaxed, and the music in the background enhances the mood (never too loud or intrusive). The service is thoroughly... More

Don't let the name fool you...they make an exceptional pork belly dish. Off course the oysters are a must!

With a name like that you know to expect "quirky", and you will not be disappointed. We had a choice to sit on the stoep facing the street, inside the restaurant building, or in the courtyard in the back. We chose to sit in the courtyard and had difficulty concentrating on the menu, as everywhere you looked something new caught... More

The restaurant in Paternoster that does not need a sea view. They serve good food in a lovely garden area - consistently.

You absolutely have to eat at Noisy Oyster when staying in Paternoster. The setting is comfortable and relaxed. The food is excellent and could compete with any of the similarly priced Cape Town Restaurants. The menu is varied and interesting, including seafood and non-seafood dishes. My wife particularly enjoyed her fillet steak. We found prices to be reasonable and certainly... More

Enough said! A gem of a place in sleepy and beautiful paternoster. Very popular for good reason. ( book ahead). Great ambience, food and service. I am fussy but would go back to this place time and time again.
