We stayed just down the road, would have been awesome if you guys were up and running but not so much luck. Good luck with the new build and we will see you on our next visit!

We were recommended this resturant by people who had been before, by the time we went to Rarotonga the original had burn't down. They had set up on the opposite side of the island while rebuilding. Well done the food was superb the prices were easy on the pocket will be looking forward to visiting you again next year .

We had the greatest pleasure of dining at the Nu Vaima Restaurant. Unfortunately the original restaurant burnt down and they are currently in temporary premises, but the food is remarkable. I highly recommend the salt & pepper squid, the Pork Belly which is exceptional and the sticky caramel pudding. Staff are lovely and attentive.

Relocated for the moment near the airport, Vaima has amazing views of the ocean and delicious inexpensive food. Get a beer for $3.50 during happy hour and you'll stay coming to Vaima's during your entire stay. Enjoyable atmosphere and a cheerful staff.

The Vaima Polynesian Bar and Restaurant was destroyed by fire on 8th May, 2014. These guests who have posted comments from that time have NOT dined at the Vaima. They have visited a Bar and Bistro in Nikao just outside town called VAIANA'S BAR & BISTRO. The name is so alike that tourists will have a quick look and think... More

Had been recommended to try this restaurant by a friend and were not left disappointed. We hadn't made a reservation, and even though it was quite busy the staff were very accommodating and found us a table outside on the beach. My partner ordered the pork belly which he said was very enjoyable and I ordered the eye fillet. I... More

The setting is so relaxing, right on the beach, and the staff are incredibly helpful. The best place we have eaten at on... More

Went here for dinner last night on the strength of reading the reviews on here. Service was wonderful and really friendly. The food we had from starters right through we're top notch. I would recommend this place to all, we will definitely be going there again!!

Our annual 9-14 day family holidays to Fiji and Rarotonga are a great break away but the food, with the exception of the raw fish, has always been a disappointment. When the six of us sat down at the Vaima my daughter asked if she should get the pork belly. I said while I loved pork belly it needs to... More
