As locals we like to support the businesses in Corbridge, and have visited Cafe No 6 several times, the quality of the service is inconsistent, with service ranging from very good to very poor and unacceptable long waits, and basic products not being available. On the other hand we have also experienced excellent service and a wide range of excellent... More

While visiting Corbridge recently we came across the No 6 cafe, Its well worth seeking out! Everything is home made and delicious, I can recommend the the Ham and Pease pudding sandwiches, Pease pudding is a local delicacy and goes well with the Ham. I must get the recipe!!

Took my brother and sister in law when they visited a couple of Saturdays ago. Took a table upstairs, thank fully there was a waitress up there at that moment so she came back up and took our order . This was at approx 11.40am and so early in the morning there were no fruit or cheese scones left, not... More

Sandwiches a little expensive but nice. The lemon and courgette cake was a first and very nice and hubby said the flapjack was some of the best he'd tasted, (and he's somewhat particular about his flapjack), so high praise indeed. Very small so prepare to be disappointed if you can't get a seat.

I visited Corbridge for the day as I was staying at a retreat centre in Riding mill. I decided to have tea at the café. The staff were very warm and welcoming, as were the locals. I shall certainly come again!!!

Sat outside Cafe No.6 and, having sampled all of the fruit scones in all of tbe cafes in Corbridge, I can say that these were the best! A leisurely and pleasant tea break. Highly recommended.

A well situated cafe in a pleasant stopover between Harrogate and Edinburgh (almost exactly halfway). Very nice cake and sandwiches although get there early as they had started to run out of stuff by early afternoon. Better than the no.1 rated cafe in the town where we found an empty cafe, no staff anywhere to be seen even when we... More

Corbridge is a lovely place just to wander round. The usual chain shops are conspicuous by their absence. Cafe No 6 sits on the corner of Market Place. It has only a few tables on the ground floor but several tables outside and more seating upstairs. Nice array of tempting home-made cakes. Good coffee. Reasonable prices. We will visit again... More

We have been here a few times recently and can certainly recommend it. Coffee is great and we have always been offered free refills. The cheese scones are baked fresh every day. It is nice to sit outside and watch the world go by.
