My friends and I popped in here yesterday for a drink but the atmosphere was so lovely we decided to stay longer and have something to eat. We weren't disappointed - the food was fantastic. I had the fish and chips and I must say it was absolutely gorgeous and perfectly cooked. I also found the staff very pleasant and... More

By far the worst fish and chips ever eaten! We were looking forard to trying the new Angel Fish take away as the food in the Angel Inn itself is always fantastic. However... cold, soggy chips, dry haddock and over cooked scampi with barely any scampi inside. Not recommended

i brought together my parents who are just about to clebrate their 60th diamond wedding anniversay and their very good friends who now find themselvs living in Corbridge (unable to attend the party in Tynemouth). Their choice of restaurant, beautiful location and ambience. Food not bad all, a bit pricey!! The staff were young and not interested at all. Very... More

Four of us turned up at 5 pm on a Friday for a bar meal. The place was almost empty so we had a choice of tables. So pleased we were early cos 15minutes later it was very busy and stayed that way all night. Great atmosphere. Interesting choice of beers. Efficient, friendly staff. Best of all is the food... More

Found this place in our trust AA Guide book. All looked quite promisiing, even if the barstaff were a bit aloof and unengaging. As all tables inside were full or marked 'Reserved' we sat outside on a pleasant evening. We ordered our meal at 8, and were told that there would be a "short" delay due to the kitchen being... More

After a long day, we needed to eat dinner decided to drive through Corbridge and came upon the Angel Inn. It is set on a nice road, and initial impressions were good. It looked very busy and a number of people were dining al fresco. The bar area had no spare tables, so we were directed to a spare table... More

Food/menu and sitting area and location. All very good but the one downer was the staff seemed to hurry you as if once we had eaten they wanted us out. 1 member of staff asked if we wanted coffee before we had sweets. Oh well i would have liked a pudding

After a busy week, I thought book a table at the Angel for a quiet Saturday night. On arriving there were about ten people dining in the restaurant and the guy on the table adjacent complaining about his meal but that was not my problem. We choose and it went for salmon and prawn in a Thai dressing which didn't... More

Stayed here last week on way up to Scotland. Weather was glorious! Room was nice - bit noisy as we were on the front but as a warm evening didn't mind! Breakfast was a bit disorganised but had a gorgeous bowl of porridge and cooked breakfast!
