Il Piccolo is a well-established Italian restaurant, run by Sicilian chef, Manuele Orto, wife Pam, and their friendly team. The restaurant is flanked by its intimate Stuzzico wine and tapas bar on the left and an airy delicatessen and ice cream parlour on the right. You will always have to book a table to eat here but it is worth it. Even if you're not really into Italian food you will always find some Italian dish you will like. So if you visit Corbridge and if you ever have then I guarantee you will return do try this restaurant.

The little bar area was cosy and busy,we had drinks and placed our order. The restaurant was busy but not full with a mixture of all ages. There was a good selection of wines on offer and the menu more interesting than expected. The starters were tasty and we'll presented. We decided to have pizza and we weren't disappointed. The... we were a very large table here for a birthday celebration. We were unintentionally late as there'd been a miscommunication about the booking but they could not have been nicer about it. The woman who took our order was utterly charming and exceptionally good with my elderly mother in law who doesn't hear very well. Everyone was happy with their... More

Despite a power cut on the night they accommodated our needs with pasta made Wellington candlelight, plus when back on lovely garlic bread and house wine was good too. Friendly warm welcome in adversity so I feel sure it will be even better when things are normal .

Booked to go here for a Christmas night out with friends. There were so many bad things it's hard to remember them all. Rude staff, slow service, weird (not remotely italian menu), wrong food arriving TWICE, was told I couldn't have my steak cooked to my liking because it was cooked in the sauce!!! It therefore came boiled and overcooked.... More
