This is a hotel that can offer a range of dining and great accommodation. There is the Bistro with a pizza oven along side. The restaurant is second to none. There is now a great outdoor dining area at the front of the Bistro, only problem is at the moment it is quite open and will not be usable in... More

Pros: atmosphere, large menu, lots of different drinks. Cons: bad coffee, like really bad, almost cold which is hard to do with soy milk usually its over heated, the gnocchi said it was pan fried, it was not, and ordered a cider and got a beer.

The food is really nice and lots of it but it is very busy and very noisy so if you want to go there for a conversation don't! The more upmarket part of the restaurant is really pricey and I don't think the food is as nice - maybe just me? Still worth a visit.

As locals in the Stirling area, we regularly visit the Stirling Hotel for lunch and dinner. The fit out to the old pub of years gone by is comprehensive and modern whilst incorporating and maintaining the heritage features of the beautiful building. Between the formal dining of the Grill, the more casual Bistro, and not to mention the new pizza... More

There is nothing to fault here... only positives. Excellent service, wonderful atmosphere, great specials, eclectic wine list. So great now they have opened up the extra pizza bar venue with the more informal eating style. Really this hotel is 3 venues - the upmarket restaurant, the pub, and the pizza bar area. All are free-flowing, and you can get your... More

This review may be out of kilter with the rest of reviewers experiences and I try to be objective in my assessments / take into account the full experience when appraising a restaurants performance. I have eaten at The Grill several occasions and the most recent experience has confirmed my view that this dining area of the Stirling Hotel is... More

Being local we eat here regularly. Whether it's the bistro, the pizza area or breakfast/lunch on the fabulous terrace, we're never disappointed. The staff are capable and friendly and the whole place works well. It is a really good example of a good investment in a lovely old building bringing lots of business into the town. We have tried the... More

The Grill no longer looks like the photos on their website. It was known as a fine dining experience but not now. The prices are as high if not higher but the food is more cafe style. We will stick to the Bistro in future and save ourselves $100.
