Ladies who lunch do it here

We did our usual thing of going into an empty restaurant and then watching as the place filled up with all sorts of interesting people, including the ladies who lunch. From the expressions on their faces we had stolen their usual table but we didn't care as we were enjoying our meal far to much to... read more

Beer is a lovely village and this pub is opposite the ramp down to the beach. its beer garden is opposite the pub too and being above the beach has great views!

Yummy food and only £10 each, we were very impressed! Would definitely go again. Seated quickly, food arrived promptly, nice warm atmosphere and relaxed vibe. Also accepted dogs which is a bonus for us

My partner and I had the pleasure of spending a nice weekend at The Anchor in the lovely fishing village of Beer in Devon. The room we stayed in was well furnished and decorated with lovely views down to the beach and out to sea. The room was exceptionally clean and well stocked with coffee tea and chocolate for hot... Enjoyed yummy fish n chips here after a leisurely walk to and from the nearby village of Branscombe. Great food, great atmosphere. Outdoor seating is comfortable with a great view. Only enjoyed the outdoor seating, so cannot comment on the pub or indoor restaurant area. Would return and recommend.

The room was spotlessly clean with a wonderful view of the fishing village beach. The evening meal was spot on and the breakfast was fabulous - the staff couldn't do enough for us - we would definitely stay here again, it was superb 👍

Always nice to be in a pub with a great view, we could see the sea waves crashing the shore, excellent. Extensive lunch menu, although we opted for the soup.

We spotted the Anchor Inn on our evening stroll down the high street towards the harbour. On entering the pub we felt a warm and friendly atmosphere with a log fire, a pub menu with a good range of food, local beers and spirits. The food we ordered was well cooked and most enjoyable.
