A destination restaurant - the view at sunset is spectacular

Finding the restaurant is not easy. It is set back over a mile off the main road up a narrow winding and steep road, and there is no reference to the name, Mirador, until one arrives at the Villa Caletas Hotel, which is signposted at the main road. However, the trip is well worth it, particularly... read more

We arrived early to enjoy the sunset in the Villa Caletas amphitheater. This is a small curved theater built into the side of a cliff. You can order drinks and enjoy the stunning view. That alone was worth the ride there. Unfortunately, the dinner was a big disappointment. I ordered beef tenderloin, medium, that was over-cooked and tough. The waiter... More

We sat outside and the setting was beautiful. Very romantic place where you anticipate a very good dinner. But the food was simply put.. bad. I would give it a three star because the sea bass ceviche was excellent, but can't overlook spoiled smelly shrimp in our lobster/shrimp bisque that had no lobster but plenty of spoiled shrimp. We had... More

The breathtaking views just added to the beautiful setting of the Mirador Terrace and the delicious dinner. I worked with Pilar Arevalo setting up the event. She was most gracious and quick to respond. The wait staff were very professional and handled our dinner with ease. Truly an elegant and memorable evening.

Went this week end with friends and family. It is like a no-brainer. Just the view is a all "WoW". Service was excellent as usual, food was great. We all went away with big smiles. What else can you asked for..: )

We stopped here for a quick lunch while at Jaco beach. The waiter was very friendly and the food was delicious. Also there is a view of the ocean.

The best part of the experience here is the view - which is stunningly beautiful. We watched the sunset from our table, which as it happens was not exceptional, but the view was still gorgeous. The gimmick here is an ampitheater, where guests can sit and watch the sunset, but the view was just as good from our balcony table.... More

This is a must do experience. If you are on a budget eat on the terrace below the restaurant or take advantage of the drinks and wine in the amphitheater for viewing spectacular Pacific sunsets. We try to go to this restaurant or the terrace at least once a month. Very romantic and a great wait staff. You will feel... More

Great place, with an amazing food in the restaurant " Mirador " and also look with a customer as in any other place, your face is the great sea and in the amphitheatre a beautiful sunset can be observed. Thanks to all personnel to make our stay an unforgettable experience.
