My family and I spent Easter week at the Kaimana Inn, and really felt welcome. Marcelo picked us up from the airport late at night (and was gracious enough to make another trip back when our child forgot something), made breakfast for us every morning alongside his mother in law, drove us around Hanga Roa, showed us where to rent... Admittedly I probably chose a bad time as I wanted to eat at 5.30, but if they do open they should do the job properly. The waitress made me feel as if she was a headteacher dealing firmly with a small boy, and pressured me into making a prompt choice. The meal was enlivened by an incursion of chickens from... More

Don't get pressured into going to the dinner/show as we were (by our hotel owner who is related to the owner of this restaurant) or corralled in by the staff, who literally stand out on the street (sometimes in skimpy costumes) and beg you to come in. It is quite expensive, even by island standards, and what you get is... More

We had lunch at the Kaimana Inn & Restaurant while visiting Easter Island. My husband thought the ceviche was one of the better ones he had on the island. There were two kinds of fish and he said it was excellent. Service was good.

We ate here twice as it was very close to Taura'a. We enjoyed the meals both times very much and felt like there was a nice variety with rich flavors.

I was in the island for 4 days and had ceviche for lunch and grilled pisi (the local fish). Both of them were very good. Note that the lady at the entrance is very friendly and she tells you many stories about Rapa Nui (if you ask). I chatted with her every day. Go chat with her and have some... More

we had a very good meal at the Kaimana Inn. We did not stay there but only had dinner. the dining room was very nice and had the only beer on tap i think on the whole island. the service was pleasant, reasonably priced and nice variety of choices.

We did not stay at this place but stopped for dinner and came back for lunches. This place is located on the main street and we always ate on the terrace. Food was excellent and the prices were good (for Easter Island). Ruby gave us good service and also some advice on things to see on Easter Island. She offered... More

The Kaimana Inn was very welcoming and quite comfy. It is a definitely bed and breakfast feel. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms were fine. My only complaint about the room was the poor lighting. Marcelo and his lovely family were helpful and always asked about our day at breakfast the next morning. The breakfast was yummy, my son... More

I was on Easter Island during Easter week and stayed here, based largely on Trip Advisor recommendations. This was no mistake. There are only about 7 rooms, papa ran the place, mama cleaned the rooms, and the mother in law did the cooking. You can't get more family than this, and they treat you more like family than a customer.... More
