This food is as good as any Japanese meal I've had in New York, la or San Fran. The vegetables are excellent, flavorful and fresh and sashimi and fish curry is delightful. Also, love the ambiance and chef recommendations. A must try for those who go to the island!

The food is delicious and carefully prepared. It is totally unexpected that one would go to a tiny island in the middle of the Pacific and have such a wonderful meal. The chef/owner/maître d actually comes to the table and helps you decide what you really should have from the menu. Since he is the one who is going to... More

Made with love - this is the best way to describe the place. The owners attention to detail, from the restaurant decor to the fantastic home made food, makes for a great dining experience which would stand out in a major city, let alone on one of the most remote islands on the planet. Prices are comparable to other restaurants... More

We had a really lovelymeal here on our 2nd night on Easter Island. Francisco the chef is quite a character. Originally from Santiago, he has lived, trained and worked as a chef in Japan, China, Italy and San Francisco. The food is tasty, well prepared, excellently served and not too expensive (the island is an expensive place after all). The... More

Great chef who offers amazing food. Went there twice and enjoyed it a lot both times. Super friendly guys working there and wonderful location. Btw: Tee is for free, and if you're into green tea, you'll appreciate the choice he makes - at least I did. Standard menu is a bit pricy, but a fair deal after all as you... More

Both the restaurant and the chef are full of character and helped to make it a great night. We were a group of 3 and the chef hand picked our entree and mains based on questions he asked us of our favourite foods, no menu in site. All dishes were diverse and fantastic in flavour. I could not praise this... More

Having travelled extensively in Japan, the cuisine paralleled any of the finest Japanese cuisine I've experienced. The Chef/Owner having lived in Japan is very passionate about his cooking and his establishment, and made our dining experience memorable. Good food takes time, and assuredly everything is freshly prepared from scratch. Quite honestly, I could have eaten there every night! Down the... More

The owner is the cook and very proud of his little restaurant - and rightly so. It's by far the best Japanese food we've had outside Japan. The food is freshly prepared (including the pasta !) - which means that you have to wait a bit before you get your meal served. The kitchen is open-style so you can see... More
