Best meal on the island

The food was incredible. Not only the best on the island, but the best I can remember having in a long time. The chef/owner is fantastic and a trip to Easter Island is not complete without a meal (or two) here.

Fabulous, authentic Japanese. Be sure to stop by to make a reservation before 6pm. Look for the little black building in the Japanese style on the same road as the airport (before the airport, towards town). This is a one-man operation and he might not open if no one makes reservations for a given night. The owner is from Santiago... More

It's taken me 5 years to get round to a review but I went in 2009 with my brother when we were travelling. It was the most fantastic atmosphere, restaurant and Japanese food ever. I've spent a lot of time in Japan and couldn't get anything there like i had here. I'd travel all the way from the UK at... More

The tuna and chicken teriyaki was to die for. This is one of the only places to eat that was worth every penny! The chef and owner is super friendly and great with recommendations.

We go to the restaurant after making reservation. We were greeted by the owner and the chef himself, who explained all the choices of food available. He give suggestion of the amount of food and recommended us according to our need. We have order some Sashimi, sushi, tampura. All come with very high standard. Even the Japanese Tea and soya... Been looking forward to this meal since arriving in Chile two weeks ago. I was not disappointed. The place was closed Wednesday and Thursday, so tonight was our last chance. It lived up to the Trip Adviser comments. We had the chef's recommendation, prawn curry and chicken teriyaki with soup, rice and raw tuna. Brilliant!!

We had a great time here. The owner was really nice and made some great suggestions of what to eat. The food was absolutely fantastic, the quality and taste were spot on. The music is on a par with the food and helped to create a fantastic atmosphere especially as night fell and all the lights came on. This place... More

This was a lovely restaurant right on the water. We ate there twice and the food was very good. We both had seafood my husband grilled fish and I had shrimp. Even tho we ordered the same thing both times the dishes were different. Both good but different. Iguess it depends on whose cooking that day. The view was beautiful... More

I loved this restaurant and was charmed by the ambience, which is more like a scenic set in the play than a restaurant. The seafood is amazing - fresh and prepared well. The chef/owner is very friendly and a character too boot.

I will remember my dinner at this fabulous restaurant for a very long time. The chef/owner is an amazing unique character. Easy to see why its the top ranked restaurant. He came outside while we waited for the restaurant to open. We arrived 30 mins prior to make sure we got a table. He allowed us to come in and... More
