I've eaten at Sottovento twice in the past year and both times it's been a great experience. The food is fresh and the portion sizes are just right. Service is friendly and multi-lingual. Pricing is more than fair. However, for me it's their Mojitos that will keep me coming back for more. This statement is not meant to detract from... More

Ate here 4 times on our 2 week holiday, staying in the apartments in the same block as the restaurant, it was that good. The ravioli "specials" were particularly superb as was every other dish we tried from their fairly extensive menu. Must mention the staff who were so helpful when I (stupidly) left our apartment keys in the locked... More

This family run Italian restaurant became a firm favourite and was always pretty busy for dinner. While we were there, clients included several Italian families. When it was chilly and indoors was full they took an outside table in for us which is typical of the service here. They will always go the extra mile. As portions are very generous... More

Been here twice during our stay (all the times we were in El Cotillo for lunch). The pasta is amazing. I took fresh (pasta was freshly made) tagliolini with zafferano, zucchine and prawns. Portions are massive and the taste is great! Staff is friendly and all Italian. Prices reasonable (pasta €11) Grazie ragazzi, continuate così

We did get a warm welcome initially from the owner's wife but after she left the service went downhill to be honest and the atmosphere was lacking both in the interior and personnel. The upside was that food was in plentiful supply and was quite tasty but not much thought had gone into the presentation compared to most other places.... More

We have eaten here three times , at lunchtime. Salads and pastas are good, very big portions. One pasta meal will feed two adults. Only go if you have plenty time and want to enjoy a drink while waiting for your food ( nothing will thappen quickly). You look out over the sand dunes at the sea. Parking right at... More

Had a very very substandard and low quality dinner, waited over 1 hour for penne and tomato sauce. When it finally arrived it was so salty it tasted like it had been cooked in sea water. I had to ask twice how long it was going to be and the first reply was 2 minutes, the second time I asked... More
