This is my sixth visit to this restaurant in three years. It's expanded in that time and is very popular. It's loud, it's bright, it's noisy but it's Spanish and we are in Spain. If you want a quiet romantic meal, or are thinking silver service and attentive waiters you will be disappointed. To enjoy this place park the English... More

we visited the "El Gallego" restaurant with friends. My husband took the "entrecote" and to my opionion, this is a good choice. However, the mixed grill is nothing but a pile of low quality meat, with a lot of fat and bones, I did not like it at all. We were seated outside as we had a small dog with... More

This was the biggest and best steak I have ever had. The children really enjoyed theirs too. We just had steak and chips and shared a desert. The house wine was good too.

Food excellent. However, service let the place down. Not enough staff so consequently had to wait ages for the bill

After many good reviews of this restaurant over several years we eventually got to go on Sunday to celebrate a birthday. It didn't start well as it took many phone calls before someone answered. We arrived to find our table was next to a large group whose 6 children ran around screaming with not a word from either parents or... More

we met and chatted to a man on the beach who recommended this restaurant - "particularly if you like steak" . we tried it and we were not disappointed and have now visited this restaurant on 3 occasions. It is busy and lively. The food is great but portions are very large and suggest sharing starters. I had a fillet... More

Typical Spanish restaurant. Fantastic meat and fish with extremely generous portions, the size of the steaks are amazing, a challenge to the most hungry of carnivores. I had the Gallician fillet steak expecting one but was two large fillets, cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth, wonderful. My wife had salmon and this was two large salmon cutlets. A... More

This restaurant us quite local,to where my wife and I live. We do like variation so visit many if the restaurants in the area from Torrevieja down to Los Alcazares. El Gallego is still one of the best. It really depends on what you want and what you expect. This restaurant is Spanish. It is owned and run by the... More
