Its some while since we last ate at El Gallego, but we took some friends on Saturday last. We knew already that the size of steaks was huge and were not disappointed. Ordering a galician Sirloin cooked medium (14€) it eventually arrived after a decent period in which to enjoy the company, wine, alioli and bread. Having picked myself up... More

I booked a table for a Tuesday night for 5. I had heard good reports from friends but also looked on tripadvisor for comments, so it was with some trepidation that I went as this was a birthday celebration for my husband and I wanted it to be perfect. One of our friends has been a few times so we... More

We have been told about this Resturant so we gave it a try , we did look at the reviews prior to going so with this in mind , some of the comments are true the portions are huge so ladies choose one and share, men will need a big appetite to deal with the simply massive steaks , steak... More

This restaurant had all its goods on display as you walked in so it was easy to make a choice. There were four of us and we all chose steak which was cooked to perfection. The chocolate-filled pancake we had for dessert was quite delicious. The service and wine were good but the actual restaurant itself was a bit lacking... More

My wife and 2 relations visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening after looking forward to the evening for a few days. The overall first impression was that it was going to be a really great experience, the food in the displays looked fabulous and we couldn't wait to eat. The beef and the fish looked superb. We ordered our... More

After reading some of the other reviews decided to check it out before going for birthday celebration next month. Service was perfect, very friendly and efficient the food was superb, we decided to "dip a toe in" so I had the entrecôte and my wife the Turbot both were cooked to perfection. We are certainly looking forward to our next... More

Probably the worst resteraunt I have been to here in Spain. The serice is discraceful, the food is so overpriced for what you are getting. The presentation of the food is poor. You fell like you are eating in a school dining hall. You would be better going to a butcher and buy and cook your own steak at home.

We took our parents there last week, having read some of the reviews was a little worried, but there was no need, we took an early trip and all had fillet steak, all were cooked to perfection , the service was really attentive and we were made to feel very welcome, this is also a great opportunity to practice your... I visited this restaurant with another 3 people while on holidays. The two lads got T-bone steaks. They were huge. (pics to follow) They asked for them to be cooked medium/well but they were very rare. The knives they were using were very blunt too making it a tough job eating it. Myself and my friend choose fish, one cod... More

Went for lunch with my partner, parents and 7 month old. The staff were friendly and accommodating (even with the language barrier), the restaurant was busy and the food was tasty and excellent value. The steak was possibly the best (and biggest!!) I have tasted and cooked perfectly. We also had Calamari, Pork, a Peppercorn sauce and a Mushroom sauce... More
