Steakhouse

Very nice restaurant, very Spanish, nice staff. Steaks are huge, I ordered entrecôte and got two pieces , so I took one home. They also serve fish. The meal comes with chips, but we ordered a mixed salad to share. Very nice wine. A lovely evening. The lighting is a bit bright, could be dimmed... read more

Decided to try here as big steak fan. The display of steaks and fish is interesting. Greeting quite cool and felt we were doing them a favour by being there. The steak was OK but no more than that and served with some frozen chips and little else.Would not take much to provide a salad or vegetable side plus some... More

I really wanted to give this restaurant 5 star's & i will for food, wine & surroundind's. What let's this restaurant down is most of thier staff are very rude & could do with going to charm school. Maybe it's because we are not Spainsh because if you are they will jump all over you. Pity area also very nice.... More

Been here on several occasions now this place has lots and lots going for it but sadly the lack of warmth when entering the place to leaving without so much as a thank you is not good . The food has always been nice the place is spotless but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired I'm sure... More

We had heard a lot about this restaurant but had never tried it,and were told to book in advance to avoid dissapointment, which did.On arrival on Sunday the 10th of Jan at 7.30 we found the resyaurant fairly quite,we were shown to our table and immediately given the wine list and menu, and followed straight away by the usual dips and fresh... This is the place to go if you like surf and turf in a big way. Excellent choice of meat and fish. Ambiance superb, service great. Well priced. Booking a necessity in peak times. Recommended!

I have only eaten at the El Gallego on two occasions and was astonished at the size of the steaks. I like my steaks medium and had to send mine back twice to get it as I like. So the idea is to order it well, well done. The taste is great but usually only served with chips and in... More

Went on recommendation from friends and I've got to say it was probably the worse Spanish restaurant I've eaten in. As soon as we walked in we were ignored like we weren't even there. We ordered a meat platter and were given jamon out of a packet! Considering this is a meat restaurant you would of thought they'd of cut... More

All the meat I have eaten here has been very good, although l normally eat my fillet stake medium rare l always ask for well done here then it's just about right. You normally only get chips with you're meal. My wife usually has lamb chops, she... More
