There’s a reason Colleys has spent 25 years as one of Lechlade’s must-visit restaurants, with chef patron Donald Cartwright’s service and cuisine continuing to impress locals and visitors. The dedicated team at Colleys understand that on different days, and for different reasons, guests require flexibility and choice. From Tuesday to Friday the modern Brasserie & Grille menu offers classics alongside timeless Colleys favourites. The restaurant’s passion for singling out great plates and making them their own is evident, with guests returning time after time for steak burgers made in-house with duck fat buns and local ground steak, or beautifully crusted pies that, once tasted, are a lifelong yardstick for all other pies. The Brasserie at Colleys provides casual dining with attentive, friendly, knowledgeable service. Brasserie open Tuesday – Saturday lunch 12 – 2 p.m. Tuesday – Friday evening 6.30 – 9.30 p.m.Colleys is known throughout the South West for four-course ‘table for the evening’ set price menus. This classic menu is served on Friday and Saturday evenings. Everything from the daily baked breads through to the famous Colleys puddings is crafted by Donald’s longstanding brigade. Bookings are recommended as there is a limit to how many tables are available ‘for the evening’. Classic Colleys 4 course dinner Friday & Saturday – tables at 7.30 p.m.Sunday lunch at Colleys (tables at 12.30pm) sees a return to real roasting with overnight slow-cooked shoulder of Gloucester Old Spot pork, Scottish beef sirloin, duck fat potatoes and serious Yorkshire puddings. Bread & butter pudding or syrup sponge with custard will always remind you of how a family lunch should be – built on flavour, understanding and relaxation.

Brilliant!

Brilliant food, best pulled pork I have ever had! The rest of my family also loved the food and especially enjoyed the new bar area! I will definitely be returning.

We went to Colley's today at lunchtime to celebrate my parents' anniversary. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the gin ice cream and the salmon. It was also reasonably priced. They were very accommodating: the service was spot-on and the waiter really knew the menu - they couldn't do enough to please you. Will definitely be visiting again - wonderful!

I ate here in June with two friends and we had a wonderful evening. The service was excellent, the waiter's gin knowledge and recommendations were outstanding. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I'd definitely recommend a visit and look forward to returning in the not too distant future.

Good quality ingredients, generous portions and friendly and accommodating service. And good value. We chose from the £25 set dinner menu. The terrine was one of the best I have tasted; not light brown paste of questionable provenance but packed with identifiable meat. The smoked salmon and celeriac was fresh and also generous. The locally sourced rib eye steak was... More

lots to choose from 3 different menus, however not many vegetarian dishes. I chose from the set £25 menu. I had the Thai fishcakes which were very spicy but tasty. Then I had the salmon which was beautiful, followed by the white chocolate and coconut cheesecake, which was also very nice but rather bland. I couldn't taste any white chocolate... More

We had dropped into Lechlade on a busy weekend to sort out a boat. The waiting time at the local pub was so long we decided to look elsewhere. I'm really glad we did. The food was very enjoyable, hot and served delightfully. There was a good choice on the menu. Definitely worth a return visit.

After several wonderful visits, with excellent service and superb food I have been left very disappointed with the food on the last two occasions I have been here with my family. A once great restaurant with great food is now serving a pretty poor version of its former self. If I can cook a better meal at home why bother... More

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience of this cosy and most inviting restaurant nestled in the beautiful town of Lechlade, at the southern end of the Cotswolds, which for us was a lunchtime destination. The welcome into the restaurant was extremely warm and friendly and overall the service second to none. My sister and I both had smoked cheddar cheese soup with... More
