Description: There’s a reason Colleys has spent 25 years as one of Lechlade’s must-visit restaurants, with chef patron Donald Cartwright’s service and cuisine continuing to impress locals and visitors. The dedicated team at Colleys understand that on different days, and for different reasons, guests require flexibility and choice. From Tuesday to Friday the modern Brasserie & Grille menu offers classics alongside timeless Colleys favourites. The restaurant’s passion for singling out great plates and making them their own is evident, with guests returning time after time for steak burgers made in-house with duck fat buns and local ground steak, or beautifully crusted pies that, once tasted, are a lifelong yardstick for all other pies. The Brasserie at Colleys provides casual dining with attentive, friendly, knowledgeable service. Brasserie open Tuesday – Saturday lunch 12 – 2 p.m. Tuesday – Friday evening 6.30 – 9.30 p.m.Colleys is known throughout the South West for four-course ‘table for the evening’ set price menus. This classic menu is served on Friday and Saturday evenings. Everything from the daily baked breads through to the famous Colleys puddings is crafted by Donald’s longstanding brigade. Bookings are recommended as there is a limit to how many tables are available ‘for the evening’. Classic Colleys 4 course dinner Friday & Saturday – tables at 7.30 p.m.Sunday lunch at Colleys (tables at 12.30pm) sees a return to real roasting with overnight slow-cooked shoulder of Gloucester Old Spot pork, Scottish beef sirloin, duck fat potatoes and serious Yorkshire puddings. Bread & butter pudding or syrup sponge with custard will always remind you of how a family lunch should be – built on flavour, understanding and relaxation.

For many years (30 or more) Colleys has been our choice for special occasions; it used to be great. The initial atmosphere many years ago was lovely with the waiters and waitresses dressing in old fashioned clothes and the food being lovely and plentiful. Bit by bit this has changed. It was usual for the meats to be brought around... More

We have travelled from Cambridge to Colleys around 3 times per year since they started serving Sunday lunch purely for the experience but that has now been changed very much for the worse. Gone is the sitting down for a set time, with the restaurant always packed, followed by the parading of the inviting menu prior to ordering. Today was... More

Went for lunch recently and had a very good experience. The food was tasty and extremely good value for money. The service was prompt and friendly and the setting was very pleasant. Would definitely return. Very good chips and, for a change, an extremely good cup of tea which actually had some strength but was not bitter!

visited here for lunch for the first time and was not disappointed. The food was lovely, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was good too. This was my first visit but will not be my last.

A very lovely relaxed place. The food was very very good, they did a special menu to accommodate my dairy intolerance, was not made to feel that it was a problem.

good atmosphere, good food spoilt a bit by a long wait for this food but in their defense there was a lot of people in that night. we had booked and so had everyone else so perhaps more staff were required. further to this the manager was a pain kept coming round to ask (.every thing okay) became a joke... I haven't been to Colley's for many years but was taken here by work colleagues for Sunday lunch the other day and it certainly didn't disappoint.. We were made to feel welcome by the maître d. on arrival and the rest of the afternoon was very relaxing, enjoying the superb food on offer. In all we spent nearly 4 hours... More

What a place to find! Lunch in total elegance, interesting menu, food delicious, service prompt and friendly, large portions so no room alas for desserts, which looked equally delicious, so needed good, strong coffee to get us home. Got it, good! Must come back soon. The bill was a nice surprise. NB as drivers we had no alcoholic drinks.
