Description: There’s a reason Colleys has spent 25 years as one of Lechlade’s must-visit restaurants, with chef patron Donald Cartwright’s service and cuisine continuing to impress locals and visitors. The dedicated team at Colleys understand that on different days, and for different reasons, guests require flexibility and choice. From Tuesday to Friday the modern Brasserie & Grille menu offers classics alongside timeless Colleys favourites. The restaurant’s passion for singling out great plates and making them their own is evident, with guests returning time after time for steak burgers made in-house with duck fat buns and local ground steak, or beautifully crusted pies that, once tasted, are a lifelong yardstick for all other pies. The Brasserie at Colleys provides casual dining with attentive, friendly, knowledgeable service. Brasserie open Tuesday – Saturday lunch 12 – 2 p.m. Tuesday – Friday evening 6.30 – 9.30 p.m.Colleys is known throughout the South West for four-course ‘table for the evening’ set price menus. This classic menu is served on Friday and Saturday evenings. Everything from the daily baked breads through to the famous Colleys puddings is crafted by Donald’s longstanding brigade. Bookings are recommended as there is a limit to how many tables are available ‘for the evening’. Classic Colleys 4 course dinner Friday & Saturday – tables at 7.30 p.m.Sunday lunch at Colleys (tables at 12.30pm) sees a return to real roasting with overnight slow-cooked shoulder of Gloucester Old Spot pork, Scottish beef sirloin, duck fat potatoes and serious Yorkshire puddings. Bread & butter pudding or syrup sponge with custard will always remind you of how a family lunch should be – built on flavour, understanding and relaxation.

After reading reviews on trip advisor we decided to book an evening at Colleys which was rather disappointed if not terrible. Although we ordered Dry Prosecco, we were served sweet and flat Prosecco. Starter was ok, but not freshly prepared. Soup was a disaster - macaroni mixed with cream and HP sauce. Main meal menu was well presented by waiters,... More

I have been a visitor off Colleys, Lechlade for about 10yrs since I first went with my parents (not part of the Colleys franchise, this one is independently owned). The food, service and special atmosphere of the restaurant have remained consistent throughout this whole time, right up to last visit yesterday. The host and restaurant owner of Colleys really is... First visit with work friends to this amazing restaurant. The staff were very helpful and lovely. The menu was varied and very well priced. There were nine of us visiting that evening and all the starters, mains and puddings were all on the table the same time. We had help choosing the wine and the choices were lovely. Any left... More

We had a fantastic time at the US Diner themed night. The food was absolutely delicious, inventive and well executed. I had the box of seafood which was lovely. We all had coke floats and I had the Bourbon Coke Float (not the driver this time!) which was absolutely delicious and very naughty. Hospitality, as with our first visit was... More

With two "special" birthdays(fiftieth and twenty first) in the family we wanted a restaurant which was a little bit "upmarket" from the usual ones on offer. Colleys fitted the criteria and didn't disappoint. We enjoyed being pampered and even the fussy eater found something on the menu to eat! We enjoyed the food and left feeling pleasantly full having enjoyed... More

I took my U.3.A. group on an amble around Lechlade yesterday. Luckily the weather was glorious. A large group of us had lunch at Colleys. Amazing menu, food was beautifully presented, the staff were attentive and we all had a lovely meal.

For many years (30 or more) Colleys has been our choice for special occasions; it used to be great. The initial atmosphere many years ago was lovely with the waiters and waitresses dressing in old fashioned clothes and the food being lovely and plentiful. Bit by bit this has changed. It was usual for the meats to be brought around... More

We have travelled from Cambridge to Colleys around 3 times per year since they started serving Sunday lunch purely for the experience but that has now been changed very much for the worse. Gone is the sitting down for a set time, with the restaurant always packed, followed by the parading of the inviting menu prior to ordering. Today was... More
