Description: There’s a reason Colleys has spent 25 years as one of Lechlade’s must-visit restaurants, with chef patron Donald Cartwright’s service and cuisine continuing to impress locals and visitors. The dedicated team at Colleys understand that on different days, and for different reasons, guests require flexibility and choice. From Tuesday to Friday the modern Brasserie & Grille menu offers classics alongside timeless Colleys favourites. The restaurant’s passion for singling out great plates and making them their own is evident, with guests returning time after time for steak burgers made in-house with duck fat buns and local ground steak, or beautifully crusted pies that, once tasted, are a lifelong yardstick for all other pies. The Brasserie at Colleys provides casual dining with attentive, friendly, knowledgeable service. Brasserie open Tuesday – Saturday lunch 12 – 2 p.m. Tuesday – Friday evening 6.30 – 9.30 p.m.Colleys is known throughout the South West for four-course ‘table for the evening’ set price menus. This classic menu is served on Friday and Saturday evenings. Everything from the daily baked breads through to the famous Colleys puddings is crafted by Donald’s longstanding brigade. Bookings are recommended as there is a limit to how many tables are available ‘for the evening’. Classic Colleys 4 course dinner Friday & Saturday – tables at 7.30 p.m.Sunday lunch at Colleys (tables at 12.30pm) sees a return to real roasting with overnight slow-cooked shoulder of Gloucester Old Spot pork, Scottish beef sirloin, duck fat potatoes and serious Yorkshire puddings. Bread & butter pudding or syrup sponge with custard will always remind you of how a family lunch should be – built on flavour, understanding and relaxation.

Last night we experienced one of the best meals possible. Every flavour, balance of dish, presentation and execution were perfection. This is not fast food. This is fine dinning without the stuffiness. Service is light and cheerful. The Thai seafood salad was delicious, with chile and lime making it refreshing and light for a squid, prawn and muscle starter. The... More

We went to Colleys on one of their Brasserie nights. The menu doesn't offer a very wide variety but the food is very well cooked and really tasty. We had a lemony houmous with flat bread while we chose from the menu. I had pheasant terrine, followed by pulled pork BBQ burger and hazelnut meringue and ice cream for desert.... More

The service, the ambiance and the food could not have been better. We traveled all over Northern Ireland and England for two weeks and we ended our stay by having dinner at Colley's. The caregiver at the B&B we stayed at gave us this recommendation and we are so glad she did. If you want an awesome local experience, then... More

Four of us had a family lunch at Colleys today. Good choice of dishes across the 3 Course lunch menu. Local smoked salmon, fresh crab and samphire, local steak frites, an excellent pheasant terrine with caramelised onions, and the best burger ever apparently. All delicious and beautifully presented. Service and timing just right. Good value for a meal of this... More

While staying in Lechlade for a week we decided to try Colleys for an evening meal on the Saturday night. We were greeted warmly, not having pre-booked and had the last available table. However as we had arrived at 8pm we did not realise that all diners are seated at the same time and all courses are served and eaten... More

We booked here as it had been recommended to us and I must say I was intrigued by the amount of different gins on offer. The ambience is fantastic and we knew that the service was going to be fantastic based on the attention received when we arrived. My husband loved the food he had chosen but I think I... More

It's always a pleasure taking friends/family to a classic Colleys evening for the first time. The whole evening is like theatre - perfect. We have been to Colleys twice in the last 3 weeks, and both times, and as expected, the food has been superb, and the service absolutely first class. So thank you to the team at Colleys, both... We visited Colleys for lunch after a friend recommended it. We were driving up from Brighton and had got stuck in traffic meaning that we didn't get to the restaurant until about 1.45pm. It looked very smart inside and as we were traveling with our 4 month old son we weren't sure if it would be suitable to take him... More
