The waitress did not serve us so I had to order at the bar, once our food arrived it was not very hot and there were no cutlery which we had to take from the other table. Football was on very loud not a very pleasant meal at all, I couldn't wait to leave.

Nice romantic place on the River Thames. It was beautiful evening so we were lucky to seat outside and enjoy outstanding view and a lovely atmosphere. Amazing food and very friendly staff. Definitely a place you want to visit especially in the summer :)

We had a little difficulty in finding this restaurant even with a sat nav, however when we finally arrived we awaited our table in anticipation of a fine dining experience. What a disappointment, a steak had to be sent back for further cooking as it was very rare instead of medium as ordered. When they brought it back after only... More

Really enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. We chose it for a special occasion and weren't disappointed. The service was superb, the young waiters were very attentive without being OTT and the food was excellent. We also got a complimentary glass of bubbly each. I can only imagine that it is even nicer in the summer as the setting on... More

We went here for an anniversary lunch. On learning that it was our anniversary we were presented with a complimentary glass of Prosecco. Nice touch. We went for the set menu. It was fantastic, each dish a work of art. We sat right by the river on a beautiful late summer's Sunday. The bill for 1 x 3 course, 1... More

Another successful trip for lunch at The Leathern Bottel! We have not been since July but decided to go again one Saturday as there was no football! As usual the food was superb and the staff were very attentive. The sun actually came out so just sitting looking out on the river was wonderful!

Whilst on our bicycle tour of villages surrounding Goring, we found ourselves approaching one of our all time favourite riverside restaurants. Fortunately, this ever popular spot had just had a cancellation, and we found ourselves seated next to the Thames bathing in golden sunshine. The courteous waiters attended to our every need, and some three hours later we reluctantly had... More

I hosted a dinner for 25 old friends many of whom I had not seen for some time. It was important for things to be right and Stuart and his team did a fantastic job. The service was as good as I have experienced (I work in the service industry), attentive but not intrusive, and the food was remarked on... More

Great food in a great riverside location. Not cheap, but great quality. On a sunny day thIs is a fabulous venue. Didn't go inside, though.
