Not worth the hype

Both the setting and service are very good here, but the food was a bit of a letdown. The spring rolls for starters were oily and the 'creamy tomato sauce' I had with shrimps tasted a little like it had come from a 'Hunts' tomato paste packet. Dessert was good but expensive. Linaw is the place to see the sunset! The Resort and Restaurant is directly on the Beach. All the food is fresh and delicious. The price vs value is just great! Forget about eating on Alona Beach! Linaw is definitively under my top 3 places on Panglao to go!

Solid food and great service and location. Really one of the best by far and worth the trip to get there. The French onion soup is awesome and some of the best foreign food period. Try the classics a nice menu. Great views

Restaurant is located at a scenic beach location and the place is well appointed. The drive-in entrance gives a bad first impression. The encyclopedic menu is varied. Excellent smoked salmon. Good scallops au gratin. Supermarket bought frozen fried scampi appetizers. An excellent rack of lamb coupled with mediocre frozen potatoes fried in old smelly oil. Sinigang and sizzling gambas decent.... More

If this is #1 in Bohol, then there is a problem. The setting is pretty to be sure. The food leaves a lot to be desired as does the service. If your guests leave behind more than half their meal it is because they don't like it, not because they have over ordered! Wrong orders, food coming out in no... More

We have had lunch in this restaurant while we were doing our Open Dive Course in Equation just next to the restaurant. The food is quite good, just in the beach, relaxed with reasonable prices.
