We were there for lunch with my husband and my parents. We ordered bulalo soup and cheese (käse) spetzle. The chef and owner in one person was swiss so we expected he knows how to cook and serve the food. But he doesn't. They served all the food together so we told to the waitress we would like to eat... The food we had at Swiss Garden was OK. They even have a section of Philippino food on the menue, which is an exception in this mixed grill/pizza area. However, after we ordered a local fish, the chef appeared and convinced us not to take it, since it "has many little bones". He suggested salmon(!) instead. Why on Earth do... More

As we had to spend more time than planned in Alona because of a typhoon, we ate twice at Swiss Garden, much to our regret. On the first night, our grilled fish had too much of oil, which had a peculiar smell and taste, and the chicken adobo was very salty. Despite this, we liked the spaciousness and quiet, we... More

They have great food - remember to order a big cola (1,5 l) instead of can/bottle. It's cheaper but they dont tell you. Look in the menu-card.

Extensive menu with something for everyone, even Filipino though I suggest skipping the daing bangus if u don't fancy bones in your fish. You'll find better boneless bangus elsewhere. Great meat dishes; pork and beef. And wonderful sausages! And of course the beer is good. Service was the most prompt we encountered in Panglao. Owner/chef do make efforts to talk... More

Had breakfast here twice. The American came with a huge serving of mixed breads and jellies as well as juice, sausage, eggs, bacon and beans. Very filling. Service was always fast and friendly. Food was good. Prices on par with the rest of the island.

We consumed exceptional good food at the Swiss Garden Restaurant. We had dinner and several lunches and and a few cups of " Swiss Milk Cafe" every morning. By now I'm sure his staff will bake the Croissant just right on daily bases. Two dumbs up !!

We liked our main course selections. A variety of Swiss and German choices. The desserts were disappointing. The strudel was tough with little apple. A bit noisy being on the main road.

Very good restaurant! Ate here several times and everything we tried was very good. Fish and chips here was great. Good beer too! They have a huge menu, so something for everyone here.

If you're craving cheese or just a typical Swiss meal, this is the place for you. Food is very authentic, there is a wide choice and the portions are generous. Prices are good compared to the other restaurants in town and there is a good beer selection. I was particularly impressed with the speed of service, as our freshly cooked... More
