AMAZING, A MUST STOP FOR FOOD!!

What a wee gem of an eatery! Characterful, cosy, unique and super friendly, this is a must stop on the Road to The Isles. As we entered the car we were met with a smile and a "I'll be with you in just a moment" I like that! The menu was a mixture of soup sandwiches and salads with a... read more

Good food and drinks in a beautifully restored railway carriage with friendly service. Patrons get a Museum discount and vice versa.

A1950s railway carriage is a really nice place for lunch. The service was friendly and given the space restrictions it didn't take too long. They have sensibly kept the menu small and as a result everything is well cooked and presented. The toasties are particularly good and my parents had a smoked mackerel salad which they said was excellent. Toilets... More

The dining car is fab, a great setting for tea & cake, well kept with good food, the museum is well worth the small entrance fee, plenty of quality items in the shop too, dangerous for me though as i spend to much!!!!

It was lovely and cosy and having been sea kayaking for the morning was the perfect spot for a rest. My husband and I both... More

The dining car is wonderful. Like having a tea in a Agatha Christie novel. Fully expected Poirot to step through the sliding doors.

Many touristy-type places like this are long on looks and short on taste or food, but this one has both. The views from the dining car are exceptional, and the food itself was filling, tasty, and piping hot. (Literally too hot to eat at first!) There is a wide range of teas and coffees and fresh cakes, and the service... More
