Having reached the area by bus, and then visited the Viaduct and Monument, as well as viewing the steam train at Glenfinnan station, this was an ideal place for lunch whilst waiting for the Scotrail train to Mallaig. The food was good, as was the service, and there's the added novelty factor of your surroundings. It certainly beats the old... More

Really top grade cafe food served in unusual surroundings of a real dining car. We had soup and sandwiches. Absolutely delicious and fresh soup close to proper chefs soup. In fact my only fault would be the time it takes to painfully heat each bowl separately. They do need to consider this a bit more. The lady who served us... More

A real jem, a welcome break from the drive. Service was really friendly, small selection on the menu, but very good value. Fantastic views and a brilliant idea of the dinning car. To travel down this road and not stop here is a crime to tourism!

I graced the dining car with my presence several times between April and August this year. All I can say is wow, what a novelty, a wonderful little place to grab some lunch or even just a cup o' tea. The service was top notch and the view is Ok I guess (jokes its awesome). The food is all home... More

A really different place to have lunch as the dining room is a converted train carriage. Next door is another carriage that has been converted into a 10 bed bunk house. The food was nice and if you time it right you might be able to see the Jacobite steam train.

This is well worth a stop if you are travelling in the area. The service was OK and the sandwiches an soup were fantastic. The sandwich was of a very good size, extremely fresh and ingredients first class. Not a great range of cool drinks to go with the meal, but all up a very good casual lunch stop.

We walked up to the Glenfinnan viaduct in the driving rain and stopped at the Dining Car for lunch afterwards. The mushroom soup and black pudding toastie combo was absolutely delicious, the pot of tea excellent and the rich fruit cake fantastic. Such a great place to while away an hour, really kind and friendly service and great music in... More

The food was tasty albeit a wee bit overpriced. The service was great and the setting was a bit different. Worth a visit.

Good food in a fantastic environment. I would highly recommend visiting this Dining Car. Even without children it is an amusing experience.

We stopped by here by accident and indulged in tea and scones. They were out of this world. And as for the pot of tea, it was really good tea (silk tea bags, the proper stuff). Anyway, as it happened, we took the Glenfinnan Steam Train the following day, and made a beeline to go back for round two. The... More
