We went to this restaurant on the advice of the concierge at the five star villas we were staying. When we arrived we were seated right away. We looked at the menu and we're not impressed. We ordered a bottle of wine from the menu but after a 20 minute wait we were told that they did not have that... More

I wish we'd had time and space for a full meal here. Just called in for "lunch/filler" on our way to a wedding, so we didn't have a full meal, however what we did have was superb. A selection of homemade breads that had oomph (Their caraway seed loaf was excellent) I had the rabbit with pasta and salad. Flavours... More

We went here for supper with our son and daughter in law and one year old granddaughter and received a very warm welcome. We really wanted a table outside to see the lovely summer sunset, and although all the tables were reserved, they agreed to give us a table there on condition that we would move indoors if we were... Food was delicious and the Service was great. The staff spoke english which was better than my broken Italian! I visited twice on my way into Londa and the way back. I will go back if Im ever close again!

I was just driving back to my hotel when I saw the restaurant by the road and decided to stop. Right when you get in you see a cozy fire place and feel like home. The dishes we ordered were not in menu, three spaghetti bolognese (we just wanted simple home made pasta), the waiter smiled and answered in good... More

We stopped off here by chance and had a v pleasant surprise. Friendly welcoming staff, some really unusual dishes but all beautifully prepared with care and love. I tried a taglierini dish with coffee and gorgonzola (yes, really!) just because it sounded so odd I had to have it. And it was delicious – really! What they lack in air-con... More

Excelent regional Tuscany cuisine and extensive super Tuscan wine list. At the end of dinner the chef/owner came out to thank us for the visit and gave us a bottle of a Chianti Riserva to take home. I have already referred the place to 3 colleagues from the US who have comeback raving about it. If you are looking for... More

We stopped at Giro di Bacco right after exiting the highway at Barberino del Mugello. Kids were starving and we spotted this restaurant just off the side of the road. Tourist trap or local favourite? No idea until you try. We immediately spotted a few locals inside, so that was reassuring. We were promptly seated, warmly greeted, presented with a... More

Set in a wooden building that seems more alpine than Tuscan, right next to the wonderful Castello di Caffagiolo, this is a very good restaurant. The Sicilian owner makes sure her guests are well catered for, the wine list is always productive and the food is very good and on occasions excellent (had a Spaghetti Carbonara with truffles there last...
