Marginally off the beaten track.....a few streets away...which might deter some but well worth finding. Arrived without a reservation to a busy authentic restaurant with lots of local trade. Prepared to wait when studied menu but waiter very helpful immediately fitting us in. The service throughout was fantastic. The assistance of our waiter in answering questions and giving recommendations was... More

If you want fantastic sauces, superbly cooked meat and fish and a bit of authentic Majorcan cooking then find this place. The locals use it which means you know it's good and from the ratings on Trip Advisor we went along and now know it's good too. Make an effort, go (slightly) off piste and if you love you food,... Went here with my husband and eldest daughter. I couldn't decide between starters (king prawns or Squid) so the waiter gave me a small portion of each....the were both delicious. My husband had the homemade meatballs (which were huge and very tasty) and my daughter the mussels. For a main course my daughter and I had John Dorey....which was the... More

My wife and i visited for the first time and although it is up a side street, you just need to look for the signs off the main Pollenca road that leads out of town to find it. The Baby Squid and Prawn starters were amazing. The seafood paella for 2 was absolutely delicious. The owner takes a real pride... More

This is very much a local restaurant serving more traditional fresh food. My husband particularly loves the baby squid which he had the last time we visited and again this time. The fish was delicious and very fresh. The location of El Posito might put some people off as it's set back away from the sea front but don't let... More

We come here every time we visit Mallorca and I can honestly say it is the best! We had menu of the day and it was brilliant. 15 Euros on a Sunday but well worth it. Home made cooking at its best and away from all the restaurant tourist traps. Tony and his staff are exceptional and allow you to... More

Went here twice on holiday and the food was excellent on both occasions. The tuna was the best we had ever had and the mussels were huge.Good service and good quality food-could not be faulted. Just a 5 minute walk, if that, from the front where all the main restaurants are. Enjoy!

as always, we were warmly welcomed by the manager, despite not booking in advance, the food arrived very promptly, and i have to say the tenderloin beef was delicious, the best fillet steak i have had in a while. my wife had the shoulder of lamb and that also was rich and delicious, a bottle of red wine at 15... Having read all the positive reviews we visited El Posito for dinner twice during our two week holiday, once just wasn't enough. The food here is some of the best in the resort, home made dishes with a local flavour, excellent service and good value for money - cod with honey and lamb shoulder were just two dishes worth a... We visited this restaurant a couple of times during a 2 week stay in the port. Great value for money and really fantastic food - Menu of the day - 3 great courses and drink, you can't ask for more for 9 euros. We were served by a very friendly young waiter (I think his name was Alex) he spoke... More
