A real treat

We visited on a Friday night and thought it might be horribly busy. We tend to eat a little earlier than the locals so were the first people in. This meant the "trip advisor famous" Spanish / Scottish waiter was able to give us his full attention at the start of the evening. The place got busier as... read more

Our visit here was two years ago. Great then, great now. The Shiraz recommended by the very helpful Spanish/Scottish waiter was fab.

Heard great reviews so booked a meal with my family and we were not disappointed. From the excellent service an hospitality to the food itself everything was top notch. We had a variety of starters - tumbet, fried squid, pardon peppers and chicken croquets which were all tasty and beautifully cooked. For the main course we had suckling pig (unbelievably... More

Tucked away in a back street not far from the square, it would be easy to walk past and miss this gem. We have been going for years, and it never disappoints. The lunchtime menu is outstanding value at €10 per person - it includes a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 deserts, and a bottle of wine... More

There are more Italians than you can shake a stick at in Porta Pollenca but unfortunately true Spanish restaurants seem to be few and far between these days. El Posito is a little known gem in the back streets and their lunch menus of the day are excellent value including a whole bottle of wine per couple. The waiters are... More

I heard from a friend that has been to Pollenca many times, that this is one of the very best. It's located a bit of the main port area and the outdoor part of the restaurant is very small. The kitchen opens up at 13. The food was traditional Mallorcan with high quality and with a nice service minded staff.... More

Great food, great service. No children's menu which is perfect. They do smaller versions of the "adult menu" perfect. Bring your friends, family and lovers to this local small restaurant, and join the other locals and tourists for a great dining experience and friendly staff ;)5 out of 5 ;)

Another great evening at El Posito, as always the fish dishes (photo of the Cod with honey and Sobrasado sauce attached) are great with a speciality starter of Octopuss which was outstanding. The house wines are excellent a value and Toni and the staff can't do enough to make sure you have a great time - highly recommended

After 10 years of coming to P de P to our apartment, we happened upon El Posito on our recent trip in June, and it was fantastic. We had dinner one evening and lunch another day (only 10.50 inc glass of vino for 3 courses!) ... I had the grilled John Dory with garlic, and my hubby had the suckling... More
