Typical English restaurant. English Chef "with a passion for food". Ham, egg and chips, scampi and chips, steak and ale pie with chips - get my drift. Stupidly I had the garlic prawns and asked the waiter "what do you recommend to go with these"? He pointed out that all dishes came with mashed potatoes or chips and salad or... More

We called on our second night as had checked reviews on trip before we went. We were not dissapointed . Food very tasty - 3 courses for 17.50 and drink prices reasonable. Staff very friendly. Service good. Decided to try again later in the week , waitress recognised us from first visit, nice touch as she sees a lot of... More

Great little restaurant in the side streets. Staff angels food heavenly! We had chef's special steak and guinness pie - scrumptious. There is a good choice of menu and wine list all at reasonable prices. Love to go again. Thank you.

Went for drinks on the first night of our holiday and promised I would go back for food. I wasn't disappointed. The waitress recognised us from the 1st night (probably because we were a bit worse for wear!), and we had a lovely meal. I can highly recommend the pate, and the salmon, and I was almost defeated by the... More

the Sunday lunch did not live up to standards and was just average, we usually stick to Spanish food but we had friends out to stay and they are fussy eaters so we opted for the 'safe' option, not a good choice I'm afraid. The meat reminded me of the old boil in the bag meat from the 70's, the... More
