Outstanding!

I had a visit to Le Calandre last year and we have been very satisfied. Very nice atmosphere, intimate with perfect service and food. The price for what you get is defiantly reasonable.

A couple of weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to eat at Le Calandre and was blown away. Everything about it was fabulous. It was as good as Osteria Francescana and that is a huge compliment. The food was not only imaginative, but delicious. The only drawback are the prices. But, if you want the best, sometimes you have to... More

The staff were welcoming and helpful withut being intrusive - this is a restaujrant that deserves every star and was worth the ride out from Padua. The menu was sensational - white truffles are something we are not often offered. We have visited many three star restaurants mainly in France and England and this is as good as, if not... More

This is a special restaurant. It is expensive, with a meal for 2, with wine, costing over $600 US. However, it is also unforgettable. The chef is amazingly creative, both in the uniqueness of the food itself and in its presentation. My wife and I chose the "Classic" tasting menu and enjoyed every one of the eleven courses. Although the... More

Excellent food leaving me speechless. Each dish is beautifully and creatively presented. Pricey but that what you pay for top class food. They are open for lunch and there are usually less people there, so you get better and faster service... and you wouldn't end your meal at 10:30pm the way Italians do... A problem if you don't stay near... More

We came specifically for Le Calandre and it was worth it. A 3 star Michelin rated restaurant on our 30th anniversary. I cannot say enough about the staff. They were extremely attentive and very knowledgeable about each dish. They were present but seemed to there at the appropriate time. Max Alamo the master chef, came to our table at least... More

Massimiliano Alajmo produces the most inventive food in Italy. The fact that he continues to hold three Michelin stars year after year is testament to this. Expect the unexpected, not in a terrifying way, but dishes that simplify cuisine down to just a few elements with each flavour shining through. Service is, as you would expect, exemplary, both friendly and... More

The restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who dined there earlier this year. We were staying in Venice and decided to book a table for dinner one evening. I am so glad we did! The restaurant is about a 45 minute drive from Venice. From the moment we arrived we were made feel welcome as we were whisked... More

Flawless experience. As an Italian, proudly recommended. Of course expensive, but in line with the restaurant's level.

An understated entrance through the adjoining cafe-bar belies the elegant warmth of the restaurant behind and its modern design. The staff were more than professional and added so much to out enjoyment of the evening - even offering a 'magic' trick or two. The superb cuisine kept to Italian theme, but added some unique takes. Great wine, grand cru stemware... More
