Tried this one on tripadvisors recommendation and was not disappointed. Food was great and staff very friendly. No English as advised so be prepared to gamble a bit if you don't speak Spanish (which is a bonus if you ask me). We went early and managed to get a barrel table by the bar but you will need to book... More

This may well be a good restaurant but it is 14km away from the city of Malaga and should be removed from the Malaga listings. Visitors to Malaga on short or medium stay breaks tend not to have cars but eat, stay and enjoy the city on foot or by taxi. Please recategorise this listing.

Excellent tapas and a good wine list offering plenty of young interesting wines at reasonable prices. The food is excellent and freshly cooked, rather than 'heated from frozen' as can be found in chain tapas bars. Book for weekend evenings as can get very busy.

Not on the tourist trail, this is an excellent tapas bar an restaurant. Well worth getting a taxi here for a Great night out. Decor is modern and bright and tapas are similar !! None of your old fashioned traditional tapas here- tapas with a twist!! Good choice of wine too which is reasonably priced. Well worth a visit to... More

La Tapeteria is on a not very pretty back street of Alhaurin de la Torre, but it is certainly not a dull suburb outside Malaga! This is really tapas with a twist. Always good quality food, good recommendations from Belen (front of house). Yes, none of the staff speak English, but the chef (who does) will come from the kitchen... More

This is a real find if you want to experience top quality tapas with a modern twist. Forget the usual counter displays of commercial, bought in & heated up tapas found in most bars, this is radical, fresh, quality food beautifully prepared, cheerfully served & fabulous! Make the effort to find & enjoy something different & exciting.

The bar is in a dull suburb outside Malaga but is worth the trip, even with a taxi driver as unpleasant and stupid as the one who brought me from Malaga airport. The lady of the house is a real charmer who wouldn't let me order more than was necessary and the chef clearly takes pride in the food. A... More

We have been going to La Tapeteria since it opened and it has just got better. Unlike a lot of Spanish restaurants, they change their menu regularly, as well as having a 'specials' board. Belen (front of house) is always friendly and you get service with a smile and will always tell you 'what is good, today'. The only thing... More
