It was late, nearly 2:30pm when we rocked up for lunch. The waiting staff greeted us with a smile and showed us to our tables even though they must had a busy lunch service before we arrived. Being a tapas style restaurant we were able to order the sizes suitable for 2. They have the best chunky with very garlicky... More

Tattlers were recommended to us and as we were just down the road wine tasting, it was worth a try. We were not disappointed. Just a great setting, terrific food and great service. The chef moved between the tables to chat which gave a personal touch. We will return there.

Fabulous home style food cooked with care. Casual atmosphere. Great value sparkling and white wine. The chef came and said hello and the service was great.

This cafe is set in a Hunter Valley winery, so the winelist consists mainly of Tatler wines, which are nevertheless excellent. There is a typo in the title - they are not a plumbing supply house, but serve delicious Spanish tapas. And they have an excellent large firebox to keep visitors warm. We went for a family lunch, and found... More

This was our first visit to Tatler and I'm glad we stopped in for lunch and wine tasting. We ordered our Tapas lunch and while waiting did some wine tasting with Paul who has a great host and kept us laughing the whole time. Highly recommended, the food is delicious, the wine tasting great and such a nice quiet little... More

We stopped in for a snack this afternoon, and wound up spending two whole hours eating our way through the chef's *excellent* menu. Everything we ordered was perfectly prepared and delicious. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place to anyone looking for a breezy, casual place for high-end food while they're in the Hunter. We're heading back tomorrow!

We called in for morning tea, (which was advertised out the front) for a coffee and something light to eat and didn't think it would take too long seeing as there were only 3 other groups of people in the cafe. The staff seemed to be busy getting ready for lunch and took little notice of us. We did get... More

So good we went back for morning tea the next day! Friendly service, and the most delicious bread I've ever had. Watch out for the chilli sauce!

We've eaten here a few times in the last few years. Seems to have gone downhill. Dishes used to be light - small pieces in "proper tapas" portions - what we got today was the opposite. Huge pieces, heavy sauces and for the most part, pretty tasteless. Also, if you rely on alfresco areas for the bulk of your seating,... More
