This was our first visit to Tatler and I'm glad we stopped in for lunch and wine tasting. We ordered our Tapas lunch and while waiting did some wine tasting with Paul who has a great host and kept us laughing the whole time. Highly recommended, the food is delicious, the wine tasting great and such a nice quiet little... More

We stopped in for a snack this afternoon, and wound up spending two whole hours eating our way through the chef's *excellent* menu. Everything we ordered was perfectly prepared and delicious. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place to anyone looking for a breezy, casual place for high-end food while they're in the Hunter. We're heading back tomorrow!

We called in for morning tea, (which was advertised out the front) for a coffee and something light to eat and didn't think it would take too long seeing as there were only 3 other groups of people in the cafe. The staff seemed to be busy getting ready for lunch and took little notice of us. We did get... More

So good we went back for morning tea the next day! Friendly service, and the most delicious bread I've ever had. Watch out for the chilli sauce!

We've eaten here a few times in the last few years. Seems to have gone downhill. Dishes used to be light - small pieces in "proper tapas" portions - what we got today was the opposite. Huge pieces, heavy sauces and for the most part, pretty tasteless. Also, if you rely on alfresco areas for the bulk of your seating,... More

My family and I have visited Tatler on a number of occasions now. The food is consistently good and uses only the freshest ingredients. The pear salad is delicious! The food isn't cheap, but we've never left without feeling satisfied. Excellent service, too.

This is the first and hopefully the last time I ever write a negative review about a Hunter restaurant. As I am a local, have worked in the Hospitality industry for 17 years and in Hunter restaurants for the past 8 years, I am beyond disappointed with the customer service I recieved at this establishment. My friend and I(also a... More

Today (a very rare Saturday off for me, working in hospitality myself) my friend and I decided to go to Tatler Cafe for lunch. Our first two courses were tasty and the young waitress was nice. When the squid arrived however, we soon realised that it was very chewy and certainly not what we were expecting. We decided to send... More

Stopped here for a casual lunch while touring around the Valley. We chose to sit outside under the Verandah and enjoyed a beautiful lunch of fantastic Tapas dishes. Salmon Roulade and Chorizo Sausage Rolls being the highlights. Excellent relaxed service and great views over the lake to the vineyards made this an excellent choice. Strongly recommend.
