Great coffee and space!

If you are visiting Creel don't miss this place! My favorite coffee is La Troje but the hot chocolate and native teas are excellent. They have a hotel upstairs that I recommend too. The charm can't be beat!

De lo mejor en Creel. El cafe simplemente delicioso y las habitaciones muy comodas y limpias. Very good coffee and excellent food. The accommodation upstairs the coffee shop is very convenient, clean, cozy and just perfect.

Upon entering cafe Memo was strumming his guitar, the cafe felt welcoming - best of all there was the aroma of real coffee. I had the Americano and corn base "coritos". Both were fantastic. I returned again to enjoy both space and coffee. My only regret is not having stayed there for lodgings.

They are not listed in the hotels section, maybe because they don't want to be listed twice, one as restaurant and another as hotel, anyway it was not until we arrived to Creel that we saw them, walked in and decided to stay with them because of the warm welcome, but again as they don't advertise under the hotel section... I believe Memo hasnt put this under the accommodation section as he isnt sure how to define the place, and doesnt want to oversell what La Troje De adobe is offering. Personally, i wish he would, as he woudl struggle to oversell it. Its at the price of a cheap hostal but with the fixtures and fitting, ambience and service... More

I had the best sleep of our 2 week journey in Mexico at La Troje. The hostel felt warm and welcoming, and our room--although small--was very comfortable. The cost was reasonable. Memo's attention to detail in refurbishing this old adobe is evident everywhere! His artistic nod to the indigenous Tarahumara was subtly woven into the decor. But best of all... More

The only actual Café in Creel! Great Espressos or Capuchinos made with beans from Oaxaca, Veracruz and Chiapas as well as delicious pies and cake. Good stuff! Free Wi Fi for customers and often on weekends great live folk music. This is the place where the hip locals come to hang out and the owners Memo and Angela will see... More

I have been to Creel many times over the years, and always enjoy going back. But coming from a coffee town in the Pacific Northwest, I missed good coffee. In 2011, I don't believe there was a single commercial espresso machine in the whole town! Alas...for us ardent coffee fans...it is now safe to go to Creel! Imagine my shock... More
