We have been coming to la cruz for a few years now. Ana Bananas is always one of the first places we hit. Food is good, social stuff is top notch and a good place to listen to live music a few nights a week. If you are looking for fancy...look elsewhere. Ana's is full on make yourself at home..you... Just a little open air, mom and pop restaurant which is sheltered from the sun and rain. Nice inexpensive breakfast selection. Can't wait to go for dinner on Wed, Fri or Sat and enjoy there live music.

After taking a all day tour on the Chica Locca boat and many drinks and a lot of sun, we ventured into a locals bar and grill called Ana Banana. The unfortunate part is we bareley remeber the experience but know we had a good time and met some cool people. We even exchanged numbers. Anyway I think you will... More

My husband and I went here last Jan. Food not bad, entertainment good, but we had to leave because of all the cigarette smoking. So if you're a non smoker I wouldn't recommend this place.

Food is good enough - beer is normal - but the music is to remember. We first came here in 2005 - on our sailboat. Been back several times on the boat and back again Feb-Apr 2014 - thankfully it's gotten even better. Barry and Ana are the owners - Barry plays and sings also and stands back and lets... More

This restaurant always has great local entertainment and is more like a coffee house than a restaurant. Nothing special, just a good place to hang out.

We went to this bar in La Cruz to hear a band. The band was O.K., but there was a bad sewer smell that enveloped the bar. Service was good.

The” Good Stuff” (classic rock) at Ana Bananas - Mondays - 7 p.m. (meatloaf is the Monday special, but they have regular Mexican fare as well) – BEST NEW BAND IN THE BAY is "The Good Stuff" – Lead singer/dancer Andra (age 18) commands the stage, dancing and strutting and delivering 60's and 70's classics, better than the originals, with... If you are seeking the thrill of a truly tropical experience, you can't do better than Ana Banana. Owner Barry has created a welcoming nightspot that makes even the new in town feel at home. A wonderful venue for music and dancing, you can even take a turn on the pole set up for experienced and novice pole dancers. Friday... More

Our group of 8 friends stopped by on the way to Sayulita yesterday. This place is a little Mexican treasure run by Canadian Barry and his lovely Mexican wife Ana. We had a great authentic Mexican breakfast and hot coffee..but more than the we really enjoyed talking to the owner Barry, who made us laugh and was very interesting..ask him... More
