On a recent stay in Tobago my wife and I went on spec to the restaurant at Kariwak on a Friday evening. What a lovely surprise we had and what a delightful place. Friday evenings the put on a buffet of the most gorgeous local food, we did indulge rather heavily. Then they have entertainment, we sat there to quite... More

Went for lunch. Got a cozy table for two. Service was great. Waited about 20 minutes for our order. We had the fish special which was mahi mahi, served with a fresh salad and provisions on the side. Excellent value for money. Meals are not very expensive. Will return for dinner. Love the natural ambience. Took a stroll in the... More

Cynthia runs an excellent kitchen with some of the best dishes one would expect anywhere. Local food done to perfection....a great experience which my wife and I enjoy every year as Kariwak is a regular annual stop for us for over 25 years.

This in my opinion is the best food on the island...always so fresh and tasty....a lovely mixture of local foods and delicious drink concoctions ..aswell as home made ice cream.and cakes....the staff are delightful and so helpful... nothing is too much trouble..They always have a great selection of house wine and never seem to run out which happens frequently elsewhere.When... The food was terrific. Very interesting, fresh and unusual combination of flavors. This was a pleasant surprise and one of our best meals in the Caribbean. Our meals (lunch) were an excellent value considering both quantity and quality. Okay, this is the Caribbean and one expects a very "laid back" atmosphere. This was just that. Our extended lunch didn't bother... More

If you love healthy, fresh and delicious food, a gorgeous atmosphere and lovely people, don’t miss eating at Kariwak Village in Tobago. The food was incredible and the place is beautiful. They also have a gorgeous, thatch-roof, wood-floor yoga studio. I have taught yoga, dance and exercise for over 40 years and have rarely practiced in such a beautiful space.... More

We had a late night dinner/buffett. The food was good, especially the African Greens. We went as a family/tourist. It is a family friendly place. The live entertainment was also great.

The menu is fairly limited, a set meal consisting of pea soup, salad, main course either chicken or mai mai fish and desert. All the food was well prepared and tasty. The rolls accompanying the soup was hot and fresh. Service was slow as there were not enough servers for the number of diners. However I have to compliment the... More

We love the breakfast at Kariwak but the service has been declining at an alarming rate and we will no longer be patronizing. The last two times we visited it was impossible to get refills on water, have someone clear dirty dishes from our table and getting food prepared took over 30 minutes for simple dishes like eggs. We popped... More

We went to Kariwak on the same night as they had a wedding reception, so we had to participate in the wedding buffet, although we sat on the outside tables. That said, the flavours and quality of the food were excellent We'll be back, hopefully on a full menu night
