Pleasant stop

Grabbed an outside table for a coffee and a snack. Everything available was freshly baked and the snow capped mountain backdrop tops of a friendly experience. Cheese scones amazing!

The cafe looked welcoming from outside. There was seating outside but as it was windy we decided to take a table inside, in front of the large windows of the cafe. The staff was sweet and pleasant. We had coffee and one of the most brilliant coffee and hazelnut brownie that I have ever had. I will definitely recommend this... More

Visited Glenorchy on ANZAC Day. Our first choice Cafe was closed for the day and everyone seemed to be at the Glenorchy Lodge so we joined them. The coffees were good, the food was tasty but they struggled with getting it heated right probably with all the rush. Had to ask for several things to be reheated. The trip out... More

Thanks for coming in and visiting with us on ANZAC Day. It was a very busy day up here and we're sorry if we had our hands full at the time, so we appreciate all the more that you wrote to let us know you still had a good experience. We're open all winter so do come back up again... More

We had lunch in this beautiful little town and were pleasantly surprised. I had blue eyed cod, salad and chips and it was really tasty for just under $20. The cakes and slices looked wonderful. The restaurant has beautiful views and you can sit inside or outside. The staff were attentive and friendly. If you're staying in Queenstown it's well... More

We walked in to the Glenorchy Lodge Cafe after done the rounds of the other few cafés in the Main Street, The food here actually looked wholesome and very appealing to the eye, so glad we waited and came here. The savoury scone was as good as I make myself, very tasty with bacon, herbs, spices, capsicum, cheese and more.... More

We're happy to keep up with the baking! It's one of our favourite things and we encourage our chefs to get creative so there'll always be the old favourites and then some new things when you come to visit, too. Do come back again...we'll make sure to let our scone chef know that they were just right! More

We walked straight in and got served so it would appear timing is very important. Lovely selection of cakes and pies to have with your coffee. Big portions too. Sandwiches looked good, but we had packed a picnic so didn't get to sample them, regrettably. Easy parking.

As the tour busses pull up & people spill into a 4 horse town it can be a daunting experience to get a feed. We were not in a hurry & wandered in & out of the few quaint little shops of the Glenorchy main street. Saw the lodge up on corner & wandered in just to have a look.... More

It was a really busy time, as everyone had just come back from the jets as well as anyone stopping by for lunch. Their system of taking orders was not at all streamlined or efficient. It could easily be improved and it would make this place a great place. Really good pie though when I eventually was served.

We're sorry to hear that it was one of those days where we couldn't get the coffees out fast enough. It does happen sometimes but we do our best to try to get them to you as fast as we can. We appreciate that you took the time to write us to let us know and hopefully next time you... More

this is just one of the most stunning and remote places we have ever stopped for a cup of coffee. Very nice spot to stop and fill up with lovely cakes, but the scenery is just stunning. I really hope we get the opportunity to go back one day and spend some more time there
