very good noodle shop near the slopes

this is an excellent noodle shop. prices are modest and when the snow is falling outside, nothing -- and i mean nothing -- beats a hot bowl of noodles which you can unashamedly slurp for maximum (obligatory) sound effects. the service staff were a loud bunch, greeting you in that ubiquitous... read more

We ate here a lot during our stay at Niseko, it was just down the road and when we couldn't decide on somewhere else we would just head here for some of the best ramen i've had. There are many different variations and the prices are good and the servings are huge! It can get really busy though, but usually... More

Delicious Ramen. Ate here for lunch mid-week. Ramen was delicious - our roast pork and rice was pretty fatty, but the flavour was nice. The lines get really long here, so you'll have to go for an early lunch if you don't want to wait. There are tables that fit up to 6 (but you'll be crowded) and seats at... More

One of the cheapest dining spots in town. Simple Japanese food served hot, taste good and quick. I did however find that the soups are just a little too salty. Felt very thirsty after the meal. But ultimately good spot for quick meals. They don't take bookings so its quite busy during meal hours, so you just have to queue... More

Situated below a great souvenir shop is this little gem of a restaurant. We ate there 3 times over our 4 day stay and loved the Curry fried Pork and rice. We also had the Jumbo Raman which would satisfy those with the biggest appetites. If that is still not enough then go for the upsize for another $1USD. Meals... More

Came here for dinner. The ramen is OK, nothing to write home about. There is much better ramen to be had in Japan. Portion size is very large, as has been noted before. Staff member at the door was rude, talking down to us (in Japanese, which we speak fluently). I find this unacceptable, thus just one point.

This is a value for money restaurant offering their signature dish Asahikawa ramen which comes with a very big bowl probably just enough to Westerners but too big for Asian. The ladies in our group complained of the size and that two can share actually. But is delicious and generous with the nicely marinated pork slices. The other good stuff... More

Excellent value. Just get there early, put your name down with the staff and be prepared to wait. Fantastic menu of mainly ramen dishes, servings are large and delicious. Noisy, busy, quick turnaround, lots of loud choruses of welcome and farewell from the staff, who are there year after year. Lots of Japanese people eat there, which is a good... More

We ate here twice as it is conveniently located, service is quick and it is great for lunch between skiing. Fast food style ramen house with good bowl of ramen and a choice of lunch sets if you wish. The ramen set with rice and gyoza is great for the price. I settled for the vegetable miso ramen on both... More

This place is lively with friendly, fast service. They flip the tables quickly, so you won't be waiting too long once you put your name on the list for a table at the door. We had the soy and salt vegetable ramen. Huge portions. Great value for Hirafu.
