Great experince

It was all great and as expected from this type of restaurant. Recommended to all and really fantastic self cooking experience, to choose between teppanyaki and okonomyiaki. Good value for money.

There are two parts to this restaurant, the DIY side, and the Teppanyaki side. My main criticism of the whole place is that it is staffed by foreigners on workers visas, trying to sell an authentic Japanese experience. The DIY part is fun. Can make your own Japanese food. The teppanyaki side however, in the big tent, is a truly... More

First time I went to this restaurant was with my partner and her family. Great concept of creating your own dish which then ensures great atmosphere and good food. the service was fantastic, all the waiters were prompt and knowledgeable with them offering assistance as much as possible. As well as the only place in niseko that i could find... More

We enjoyed the self cook teppinyaki restaurant. While it is fairly basic choices it was fun to be doing the cooking yourself - cannot blame the chef!! Service was friendly.

Service was great. Haven't had DIY okonomiyaki before and this was pretty good to eat. Only bugbear was that my legs didnt fit under the table but that's the peril of being 6'2" in Japan - put my feet up next to me and survived. Clock near the table so that you can guess timings would be great but not... More

Best okonomiyaki & even better you learn/cook it yourself. Some have the skills, others don't but good fun watching friends & family. Great place & friendly service.

A very Japanese experience in this cosy restaurant. The variety and freshness of the food is great and very welcoming after a long day skiing to have a simple meal. The Pork Yakasoba was perfect! The staff are very helpfully giving us cooking instructions and how to mix the sauces, this is almost like Japanese Cooking school.

We were in Niseko recently and decided we had to give tepanyaki a go. In looking at the reviews on this site, it seemed that Kabuki #1 was the way to go. We didnt book until the last minute but they did squeeze us in, which was really nice. So, apart from the loud, obnoxious aussie teenagers that we had... More

Food was good and kind of fun to cook yourself... if u get it right... prob would have tasted better if someone who knew what they were doing had cooked my okonomiyaki for me. The chefs have got it easy... just chop up everything and the guests cook it themselves. Was ok for me as a vegetarian cause u can... More

Hi Callie - Thanks for the feedback. I think your partner must have ordered a teppanyaki dish based off your description of the meal. We are sorry to hear he didn't find the portion to be filling enough. We will take this into consideration as we do our meal planning in the future. As far as cooking the proper Okonomiyaki... More

Well priced and fun to create your own meal. We got 1 basic and 1 squid option along with an appetizer. We could have just done the squid and appetizer for the two of us, as it was lots for 2 women. Tasty and reasonable price. Great fun for families. Best to make reservations ahead.
