Like another recent reviewer we had not been to the Joiner's for many years following some appalling front of house service but looking for somewhere local (we live 4 miles away) to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and having seen some good reviews on Tripadvisor we decided to book for lunch. And what an excellent decision that was. The front... More

Having only recently discovered this restaurant I have to say I'm blown away. The quality of food and service is exceptional especially for the price. Probably the best dining in the south of Leicestershire and far better than others of a similar ilk. Recommended.

First time we have visited the Joiners Arms for about eight years. We were not disappointed. The service was prompt and attentive, the food was excellent although I was not so keen on my mushrooms with breadcrumbs on top...found it dry and dont think it really works. However the rest of the food was great and value for money

What a team and what a result! Space in this old pub is at a premium but somehow everybody is seated and served reasonably quickly with excellent food from a varied menu made up of a good regular selection of dishes and as many dishes again on the specials board. There's a good but not too extensive selection wines and... More

Wanted somewhere special to dine for a 'date night' with my wife (25 years married) and found some good reviews and dined here last night. What a find - great ambience, friendly and professional and friendly staff, and nice surroundings. The food was frankly superb - my wife commented that the food was in the same class as we got... While up in the Lutterworth area on business, my wife & myself wanted a decent lunchtime meal before heading back to Surrey. Having meandered aroung the lovely countryside, & not having seen a hostelry that fitted the bill, I asked a dog walker just outside Bruntingthorpe if there was a pub with decent grub nearby. His reply was that there... More

We just had a lovely lunch here, nicely unusual menu, great service, great cooking. Not our first visit, probably about the fourth and certainly not the last. My one and only criticism was that the batter on the tempura haddock was not a proper tempura batter and was therefore somewhat greasy but perfectly nice apart from that. It was such... More

Having eaten here a few years ago, we took some friends to the joiners in Feb and it was very nice. Definitely up there with the white swan in shawell and the Grey Goose in gilmorton for local foodie pubs. The restaurant is homely and serves good local ales, food is hard to fault without being fantastic. Maybe the specials... More

Had a most amazing meal, nothing was too much trouble. Worth every penny! Very attentive, an appropriate setting for our 20th anniversary.
