Superbly cooked food, with imaginative flavour combinations. Small fixed menu but wide range of tempting specials for starters and mains. The vegetarian dishes are always creative and attractive to carnivores! Emphasis on fish on special s board. Tried the auberge menu tonight for the first time and it was by no means a cheap option in terms of quality, but... More

After finding a recommendation on the internet dropped in with my better half as a walk-in for lunch - immediately welcomed by Chris and the team, talked thru the menu before being seated at a nicely presented table. Food was fabulous, very flavoursome and freshly made with great ingredients. The warm ciabatta rolls were delicious. Will definitely return in the future.

We came to celebrate a special birthday and decided to have Sunday lunch. We have visited before on several occasions and wanted the perfect venue/meal as it was a family occasion so booked at The Joiners. I am so glad we did as the meal was wonderful and all our guests really loved the whole experience. Food beautiful and the... More

A family favourite restaurant. The food is first class, the ambience is warm, cosy and inviting. always nice to start with a drink sitting near the log fire whilst browsing the menu. During February a Thursday special Fish and Chip night was enjoyed with friends. Chris and his waiting staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

A lovely spot tucked away in a peaceful village close to the main arteries through the Midlands. This is a well run and much loved family business serving excellent bistrot food with imagination. Often they will use local and seasonal produce to create extraordinarily good value set menus. Our last visit was notable for a smoked trout and horseraddish with... More

The service was spot on. Very important. Food not so good. Tough steaks which had been cooked on a grill or griddle which was not hot enough. However iffy food can be forgiven. Poor service cannot. And the service redeemed the place. I will return.

Out of this world. The food was to die for. Had a fantastic evening and would definitely go back. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we felt very well looked after.

Having recently moved to Leicestershire we are lucky enough to have The Joiners Arms as our local restaurant. We have been to the restaurant on five occasions including one of their Tuesday (Auberge) nights and each time we have had a fantastic meal. If you want a meal in Leicester and don't want to travel, try The Boot Room, which... More

The Joiners is one of our recent favourites especially as it's so close to home! The service is always friendly & very welcoming from the moment you step in. They actually remember you and make an effort to get to know you. The food is delicious & beautifully presented from a wide range of specials as well as menu options.... More

We visited on Friday night as a party of two couples. We had a table booked for 'around' 9pm - we were early as had decided to come for a drink first, and so we were seated in the bar area, where our drinks were brought to our table. The pub was very busy, probably made more noticeable by the... More
