This is the most expensive restaurant in the region by a long way, but it is something completely unique. The various different courses are prepared in the most fabulous ways! I recommend you try this once if you are in the area - you won't regret it!

Okay, so it may not be as 'polished' as some places, but I just love eating in a restaurant where the chef is creative and clearly passionately obsessive about good food and the eating experience. Approach a meal here with a sense of humour and enjoy the ride. We had the 'stones' degustation, it was the most surprising meal I've... More

Allow 2hrs for this dining experience. We had lunch after waiting for the restaurant to open at 1pm. 10 courses for 30 Euros. A Michelin recommended restaurant where every course is an event in itself. Very inventive, mostly small tasty morsels. I had wild boar for main course and my wife had twice cooked lamb (the best lamb she had... More

Went to Callizo this summer. Be sure to make a booking, as it got quite busy while we were there. The menu is very inventive and the food is delicious. We went for the "Tierra" menu, which includes a few amuse bouche type dishes and then a choice of main and dessert. The starter dishes are very clever and try... More

I was introduced to this restaurant in 2005 and have been retuning ever since. I will happily go 200km out of my way for this. I always choose the 42 euro menu so do not worry about the 10-14 ¨courses" It is not too much at all. Just right as the portions are small. Wonderful modern cuisine with Spanish Flair.... More

We had the top tasting menu at 42Euros and were delighted with the experience. Each course was carefully balanced and for the number of courses didn't feel full to bursting. Service was excellent, all four of us enjoyed all the courses. Cannot fault the ambience, and good wine at very reasonable prices. A truly memorable experience.

Courses just kept coming and each one was more surprising than the last, especially the nine starters! Dishes are imaginitavely presented and done so with a floursih by the waiting staff, Although other food is on offer in the Plaza Mayor, the most fun is to be had here. We have had slightly more refined versions of this at top... More
