This restaurant offers molecular kitchen. Sometimes somewhat over the top (when taste comes second to show), however a true experience, brought by helpful staf in a nice surrounding. Pricy for the area, but still much less than in other, similar european restaurants. Certainly to consider when visiting Ainsa!

In a word, fabulous. The staff are lovely, intelligent, attentive, friendly and appear happy. We had the 43 euro degustation "stones".  The experience is unforgettable and the food an adventure in taste. I wish we had a restaurant  like this in Auckland.  Other reviewers have praised Calllizo more eloquently than I, and it is all true.  The bill, for two... More

I enjoyed the tasting menu so much last year that I invited a friend along this summer to experience it. The standard of food and service was excellent and every course delicious. Happily for me each course was completely different from last autumn. The location is very relaxing , and a memorable taste bud experience was enjoyed, with wine, for... More

I had a meal here after hiking in the Pyrenees. Fantastic food and service in Ainsa. I loved the views of Ainsa up the old castle too. Great mountains!

Truly extraordinary, not expecting such eclectic cuisine in this small location. Worth every Euro! The presentation is part of the charm, and the "Earth Menu" is truly an experience.

We feel so lucky that we stumbled upon this incredible restaurant. Having not planned to stop in Ainsa, we decided last minute to find a hotel for the night before returning to France. Whilst we were preparing to go out for dinner I checked tripadvisor to see if there was a good restaurant in the town. We saw Callizo at... More

Dining at Callizo was a theatrical experience that you need to approach with an open mind. The chef has been awarded a Michelin Bib and is imaginative in the extreme. Each course celebrates the landscape of the region with delightful surprises. What a wonderful unique opportunity and privilege. To tell would be like giving away the ending of an exciting... More

This is the most expensive restaurant in the region by a long way, but it is something completely unique. The various different courses are prepared in the most fabulous ways! I recommend you try this once if you are in the area - you won't regret it!

Okay, so it may not be as 'polished' as some places, but I just love eating in a restaurant where the chef is creative and clearly passionately obsessive about good food and the eating experience. Approach a meal here with a sense of humour and enjoy the ride. We had the 'stones' degustation, it was the most surprising meal I've... More
