Good food in a beautiful setting

The evening activities were planned for a concert in HMH, and we were looking for a nice starting dinner. After looking around in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel we chose Brasserie Paardenburg because of the atmosphere of the large conservatory gave to the place. Inside it was also tastefully decorated and... read more

Old building by the canal, carefully restored inside and outside not to overdo it. Excellent wine choices (many Spanish and South American reds to accompany their first quality meat). Friendly and well-timed dinner service for a 7-people group including 2 kids

Great food, great service and lovely place with lots of atmosphere. We visited during Restaurant week and will definitely be back. The food was delicious and a good selection of wines.

Had a wonderful family dinner in this place. The service was very good. Ambience nice. And the quality and preparation of the food outstanding. All reasonably priced. Will come back anytime.

If you are looking for a quite place with a great view and lovely food, you may want to check this place. Located by the Amstel river, just on the outskirts of Amsterdam it is a perfect place for lunch with family or romantic dinner. This summer I enjoyed this place on three different occasions and chose the river bank... More

This is a place to visit in the summer, with the terrace next to the river Amstel. We arrived by ship for lunch. One of the grandchildren was in a wheelchair, staff was very helpful. The first service of mussels was not really warm on arrival, the second service was much better. The (grand)children liked there fish and chips, and... More

Whilst staying in Amsterdam my boyfriend, his sister and I rented bikes and went for a beautiful ride along the river to the village that this restaurant is located in. Right as it was about to start pouring down we took refuge for lunch in this restaurant. It has a covered outdoor patio that is right on the river. It... More

Friends from Amsterdam took us here for dinner on a lovely summers evening. We had a table on the terrace next to the river and were able to watch the boating activity as we waited ( for a long time ) for our meals to be delivered. Friendly staff. I ordered the unlimited mussels deal but could only manage one... More

A spontaneous family diner. Parking for one car is free and is situated aside the restaurant. At arrival our reservation was already correctly passed. We were warmly welcomed. The staff was very kind and hospitable. The food was tasty and nicely prepared, see the photographs and widely available. The French fries were already cooled, but instantly changed for warm ones... I am surprised about this restaurant. Only 1 piece of bread per person. I ordered 2 appetizers, 2nd one as a main course and this was really no value for money. Small portion, only the beef tartar, no vegetables, no bread/ carbs. We got a small cup of fries and salad to share. My colleague had fish, which was ok,... More
