The Dufferin Arms is a pub/restaurant which has remained unchanged and authentic. It is like walking into an old pub. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff welcoming and very accommodating. The food is excellent and there is a good ranging menu. They do Banquet nights which I would most definitely recommend. The food is to die for and the... More

Have visited this 'proper' pub before when visiting my family near by, and love it. The atmosphere is congenial and it is cosy and warm. Great Guinness, fabulous fish, and superb staff.

Very quiet as it was monday lunch time but service was friendly and efficient and other customers very chatty/welcoming. Food was ok. My veggie pasta a bit samey after three mouthfulls and my buddy's scampi and chips received 'the nod'so happy... More

We loved the decoration in the Dufferin Arms. The food was fantastic- especially the mussels. The live bluegrass set was excellent.

The Dufferin is a traditional town pub. Good food, good Guiness, friendly and helpful staff, good atmosphere, and if you go at the right time good live music.

Liked the bar, the food and the service. Good attention to detail. Dining room was nice enough but could be more atmospheric. However, we would definitely eat here again. Try the mussels. Yum.

Good straightforward food and service. It's good to find that they run out of some dishes before the evening's out - shows its fresh not frozen. Characterful bar full of locals at the weekend with perfect Guinness .

Staff very friendly, beer excellent, lovely atmosphere on the day when the Vintage Cars and Motor Bikes took place. Enjoyed the folk music on Sunday afternoon. Shame we couldn't bring our dog in (most pubs in Ireland allowed us to!)

Stopped here for lunch on a Tuesday and whilst we had to wait a good while to get served, once they took our order, the service was super-friendly and efficient. The food was brilliant and just what you'd expect from a good pub. Portion sizes were also plentiful.

A friend and I visited the pub recently as we were in the area. We found the food to be average and thought the portions were very small. I got the cod with chips and peas. There were two pieces of fish which were of a good size but the chips and peas were served in very small dishes. My... More
