Diappointment!

Definitely not as good as it used to be before change of ownership. It is still however nice to sit outside on a pleasant day. Food has changed and not for the better.

I ordered the veggie burger with smoked portobello mushrooms and was surprised at the poor quality of the dish, The burger was a pasty mush and I'm actually not sure how it was cooked! It certainly wasn't grilled or fried. The fries were tasty, but cold - and that's all I got for (after tax and tip) $18.50! I've lived... More

If you're looking for a glass of wine and a view this is a historic and beautiful place to visit. The food is a disappointment beyond belief! The chicken Caesar salad was bland as anything. The chicken was on the side which made no sense. The Trio appetizer was not worth the calories. It was like bad diner food at... More

The Willow Place Inn is where you can sit by the water front and admire the view. It is almost without exception that I order a salad when I visit the Willow, either the Oka Salad, a friendly nod to Hudson's across-the-lake neighbour with the addition of its fantastic cheese, or the Seafood Caesar. This time I opted for the... More

I was disgusted. The food was worse than diner or buffet food. Waitress was mad when I changed an order and the staff was confused. Even the beer was warm.

If you look at my reviews you'll see that the vast majority are positive and otherwise fair, a recent group outing there, however, was terrible. and with such a nice view, I was completely ready to be lenient. At a "special" lunch rate of $22 (no desert), I witnessed the most minuscule portions being served on plates ever. The Willow... More

The Willow has been our "go to" place for years for celebrations, bridal shower, successful riding competitions or just a relaxing lunch by the lake. We have enjoyed each one immensely but not this time. We waited 40 minutes for what was supposed to be a 15 minute wait for a terrace table. We ordered immediately but the carrot soup... More

Dear Beanie 4557, We appreciate you taking the time to write to us regarding your visit to the Willow. Since we received your review, we have decided to replace the melamine bowls to actual porcelain bowls which are bigger and will offer a larger portion for our soups. Our carrot soup is actually made from our original recipe from many... More

Father's day might not be the best day to try out a revamped institution, with new management, but that's what happened. It took an enormous amount of time to have our order taken (there were 8 of us at a table for 6). It took even longer to finally be served by a staff that was obviously very harried and... More
