Well worth the Drive from Bristol!

I have been to this pub over the years from a child (sat in the car with a bottle of pop and a chicken pasty!) until now, so suggested visiting with my partner for lunch one Saturday that we were in Bath. On this occasion we shared a sandwich and handcut chips sat in the lovely sunny garden, which... read more

We had dinner in this wonderful inn that is said to be the oldest in England. The atmosphere was fantastique and the food really good. The building would be just the perfect setting for any period film.

We stayed here as our base for visiting Bath ( only 15 min drive away) and surrounding areas. The staff where helpful and very welcoming. Food was excellent and good value for money. Would highly recommend.

Did not stay but had dinner. Average quality pub food with nothing special of note to comment about. Service friendly but has tremendous potential if someone ripped up the menu and added more gastro quality food

We met with friends and ate here a couple months ago, and it was pleasant enough. You can't beat the history of the place, and the dining room is large and spacious and the food was ok. We met again this weekend and were very disappointed with the food. The menu is the same but it was evident from the... More

Dining with a friend, we visited the George Quaint Inn, a lovely historic pub but almost empty! No ambiance, staff non-committal, no smiles no welcome! Food pleasant, but not outstanding! Would I recommend it? No, there are other pubs better!

We were lured in whilst travelling through the village by the stunning architecture of this beautiful old coaching inn. Sadly, the food did not live up to the characterful surroundings & idyllic countryside views. I rarely, if ever, write negative reviews (to which my Trip Advisor account testifies!), but our supper was ridiculously overpriced for what it was, & the... More

We ate lunch here as part of a tour to Bath. Historic pub, beautiful architecture, fantastically preserved decor, adorned with antique style paintings. We ordered the wild boar sausages with sweet potato mash which were hearty and not over seasoned or salty. The burger was cooked slightly pink, which we liked, uncomplicated crisp fries. The smoked salmon sandwich was a... More

We have just arrived at our destination having stopped off at The George Inn for a spot of lunch. We had been here before and loved the glorious old building and its very interesting interior and bars etc, but were very disappointed with the food. We thought that we would give it a second try but I am afraid that... More

This old Pub/Inn is so idyllic with fantastic views and wonderful history! All of the staff were friendly and most helpful too. The food is very good and reasonable as are the local Ales! A must if your in the area. Parking is easy and the view from the rear of the Inn is stunning. Excellent place to visit.
