We came on Christmas Day at 4.30 sitting, was mistakes but the waiting on staff were brilliant, the problem was with the kitchen were the major oven had broken down (not foreseeable) after getting in touch with the manager via email he invited us along to sort it out face to face, we were offered a free meal on the... We visited the Belmore at 4.30 on Christmas Day and dined in their function room which they had decorated perfectly. We believe this was the third sitting of the day which must have been incredibly hard work for the team, and we wanted to acknowledge what a great job they did. It's only fair and honest to say that there... More

Myself and family booked Xmas Lunch this year and were faced with a total disaster. The meal cost just under £450 and certainly wasn't even worth a quarter of that. We sat down for starters which were OK apart from some things missing off plates that were advertised (same applied to mains ie no potatoes)!! Mains came but they said... More

Our family booked a table to celebrate our annual Xmas lunch. The starters were OK but mains were awful - greasy chips, stone cold curry (which was actually just cooked chicken with sauce poured on top), hard burnt naan bread, tough, grisly gammon. We complained and were offered free coffee to compensate, we refused and in the end at least... More

Have visited and ate at the Belmore in the past and the food was ok, this time we had booked a table and ordered staters and mains. Starters took 30 minutes and were pretty poor, mains were nearly 45 minutes and were even worse. Chips were greasy and cold, as was the fish and the scampi, would have sent it... More

Paid £12 each for a main course that wouldn't have filled a child. So overpriced for what they serve you, will not be going again. Cant believe they think this is acceptable, can only think it must have been the chefs night off.....

We ate here around a month ago an what can I say. We only went in for a quick sandwich but after lookin through the menu and speaking to the staff we decided a full on meal was definitely the write choice. The waiting on staff were more than helpful one chap had the biggest grin I've ever seen. Very... More

Oily overpriced salad with reported sirloin steak. I'm sure it was leftover Sunday roast. I drink here sometimes and it's nice. The curry club is good value. Would not eat a la carte again

Enjoyed a long weekend stay at the Belmore. Service in hotel and pub was always friendly and efficient. We ate breakfast and dinner here every night and weren't disappointed with the food once. There was a good wine list and range of beers at decent prices. The hotel rooms seemed to be recently redecorated to a very good standard but... More
