Very nice, but a little pricey

Very nice atmosphere, lovely food but can sometimes be a little too pricey. The menu could have a little more variety but there are still lots of items to choose from. Nice little cafe to have in sale.

OK, this used to be a pleasant place to eat and the food was excellent, although a tad pricey, but it was always well cooked and tasted fresh. Over the last couple of months, the quality has really gone downhill. The portion sizes are tiny and the food is poorly cooked. Almost all the staff appear disinterested in attempting to... More

Recently visited with friends, the food is expensive for what you get and the menu is very restricted, however the food I did order was very nice, just lacks quantity. I would possibly eat here again as it has the arts part upstairs for the children.

Came here today for a mid morning snack and a cuppa. The place was packed with young families, and this cafe certainly caters well for those with young children, buggies etc. What a shame then that my tea cake was soggy, burnt at the edges, and raw in the middle. This place certain doesn't take as much care over its... More

After reading a few of the most recent reviews, I expected to be leaving feeling disappointed BUT this is not the case. Yes the floor is scuffed and the tables are scratched but I doubt it's easy to avoid that! Besides it just seems to add to the whole natural modern rustic decor they have going on. The only criticisms... More

A great place to take the kids and get some good food. Burgers, stew, scones and cake have all been tried and loved. Food is all freshly cooked whilst you wait and the staff are really nice and helpful.

Before I begin with this review let me just say that my wife and I have been huge supporters and advocates of the Bean & Brush since it first opened. We have regularly gone there for lunches, breakfasts, coffees and even held a couple of kids parties there. And over the years, we've been really happy with the service. Alas,... More

A very good place to go with your family. Friendly staff and good food. It is amazing to see so many mums with their babies having a coffee together

Fantastic food and coffee, local ingredients made well with lots of choice - specialise change frequently and the stew and soup are amazing :) Staff friendly and the art part is fab for kids.

Me and my mum have just come back from eating lunch here. We ordered 2 coffees, a pizza and the 'superfood salad'. They said the wait would be about 25 mins, which we didn't mind... It ended up being at least 45 mins and as you can expect we weren't very happy by this point. After asking the waitress (who... More
