Always go here for our weekend takeaway. Good food and good service. Always a good sign when it's a full restaurant. Great curries.

Ive not been to Ganges for a long time, but visited on Wednesday, i said to the waiter joking , i'll have my usual ! and he reeled off what i normally have. I must say this restaurant is one of the best in the area, always friendly service, fresh food and reasonable prices.

This is our regular Indian restaurant which we go to two or three times a month. The last time on the 30th august.we all thought our meals were delicious and the staff were their usual helpful selves. What I find hard to believe are the adverse comments on the restaurant.where do these people normally eat, that there so critical.?

An evening meal with friends was pleasant but nothing special. This restaurant, we've been several times, is ok for a reasonably cheap quick night out, but the lack of atmosphere fails to impress. Bright lighting and tables so close together robs the place of intimacy and encourages diners to "eat up and move on" and make way for the next... More

Made a beeline for this place after eating here sometime ago. Will say set up is modern and service is fast and helpful. Food is average for me but filled a gap.

Ordered a take away using their online service last night at 6pm, received an email at 6.20pm to say that it was on it's way, by 7pm it had not arrived. Rang up to check and a very disinterest man said that 'it was on it's way'. By 7.30pm it had still not arrived, so rang to cancel it, wish... More

Ordered a take away on a Sunday afternoon for four people. Went to collect, the bored person behind the bar seemed more interested in selling us a drink whilst we 'waited'. than producing the order which was already there.Either he was hassled by the fairly busy restaurant or doesn't have the personality for front of house. Arriving back home all... More

I went here on Saturday night and had food poisoning all day Sunday. I called to complain on Monday but the restaurant would not accept my arguments. Very poor service.

We have been using this place since it opened as the Ganges in the 1960s and was owned by another family. When the current family took over they re-named it The Curry Cottage and added a rustic style decor. In April 2012 they completely refurbished the place and revived the Ganges name. One thing that has never changed is the... More
