Frequent visitors since the Fat Loaf opened. We have always enjoyed the imaginative menu of well prepared and excellently cooked food. The service is friendly and efficient. Over the years we have tried many restaurants but this remains by far our favourite.

Consistently good quality food and friendly staff. Good wine list. Nice atmosphere. One of my first choices of restaurants in this area.

Great food and a lovely atmosphere. It's quite expensive, but you do get what you pay for. Good choice of wine and drinks available. Make sure you book, especially at weekends because it does fill up fast!

i have been going to the Fat Loaf for quite a while and went again last night. I had what I can only describe as the best meal in a very long time. The menu was varied, and absolutely delicious... service excellent and all in all an amazing evening. It isn't surprising that it is always busy with food that... More

Visited here on business for an evening meal. Filet steak looked nice and was perfectly cooked. I had the seared fresh tuna steak which was a delight. A nice bottle of reasonably priced Pinot Noir and a Cheese selection to finish. I would certainly recommend.

Went to The Fat Loaf with the in-laws to celebrate selling their flat . A really fabulous meal; my Tuna Steak was perfection and the flatiron steaks were reported to be very tasty. And Cheshire Ice Cream and liquor coffees to finish. Super place, super food and great cooks to boot! Always a pleasure to go back

went with my family for celebratory meal but the menu was small so I had the restaurant 'special' for the night which they called flatiron steak. It was inedible rubbish. However, to be fair, the rest of my party enjoyed their meal so maybe it was just a bad choice. Won't be going back.

Management response:

Hi Alan, first of all let me apologise for the fact you had a substandard meal here at fat loaf. I am glad to hear the rest of the party was fine but am concerned that you found your flat iron steak inedible. We use a good quality local butcher and so we dont expect this to be the case.... More

We searched tripadvisor for a local restaurant with good reviews and found Fat Loaf. Awesome. We had a couple of drinks and main courses the bill was reasonable under £25.00. Fat Loaf Salad and a Fat Loaf Pasty. They are a lot better looking and tasting than their names suggest. Recommend no hesitation. We are goping bacvk tonight for the... More

Have been in many times...never disappointed! Staff offer excellent service, always welcoming, have never felt pushed to leave a table when busy or near to closing time. excellent food (even better when on the early done). Also highly recommend for functions - beautiful and plentiful buffet options for reasonable price!
