Description: The Fat Loaf restaurant in Sale is an absolute find and a local favourite...
The Fat Loaf restaurant in Sale is an absolute find and a local favourite. The brainchild of chefs Paul Taylor and Tim Wood who trained under Michelin-starred Marco Pierre White at the Lowry, The Fat Loaf is a brilliant bistro. The open kitchen lets you watch them work. Sourcing is taken seriously – local wherever possible, excellent at all times. The menu is modern European prepared with imagination and flair. It’s perfectly set in a storefront restaurant with slate floors, white chairs, neutrally coloured walls and an array of art photography on display. Formerly a bring-your-own-wine place, The Fat Loaf now offers a short, thoughtful, international wines list at prices so reasonable you’ll have to blink

awesome lunch

We searched tripadvisor for a local restaurant with good reviews and found Fat Loaf. Awesome. We had a couple of drinks and main courses the bill was reasonable under £25.00. Fat Loaf Salad and a Fat Loaf Pasty. They are a lot better looking and tasting than their names suggest. Recommend... read more

Have been in many times...never disappointed! Staff offer excellent service, always welcoming, have never felt pushed to leave a table when busy or near to closing time. excellent food (even better when on the early done). Also highly recommend for functions - beautiful and plentiful buffet options for reasonable price!

Prior to 1990 you wouldn't find fresh tuna in a cookery book in this country. We ate tons of the tinned stuff but my own experience of fresh tuna was in a tomato & garlic based casserole on the Algarve 30 + years ago The Fat Loaf are now serving it up as " A British Grill" & it was... More

From start to finish my experience at Fat Loaf was amazing. I had the Pork Belly with black pudding and my partner had the lamb burger... Was mouth watering. The service was great and loved that you could see your food being prepared. We also shared a Sticky Toffee pudding which is my fave dessert... Best Sticky Toffee pudding I... More

Went with friends to celebrate a birthday. Went early in the week. Food was good but the place lacked atmosphere.

Ate here several nights a go. The service was just okay and the food was average, but at a slightly higher than average price. Not bad but not exceptional either.

I have been eating here for many years and I have never been disappointed - except when I cannot book a table because they are full!! The menu is interesting and varied. The wines are good and sensibly priced. The team Is outstanding. The menu is interesting and varied and above all it is perfect.
