Prefix dinners from your choice of regions of Indonesia Ylang Ylang is a wonderful experience. Pricing is on the expensive side.
We are also Dutch and are able to judge Indonesian Food very well. Conclusion : It was great quality ! We have enjoyed it very much. And what a nice atmosphere, ocean view and nice owners! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !
A Valentines's Day treat. It's the second time that we've been here and it was every bit as good as the first time. The food to wonderful and the spices are perfect. The presentation is lovely as is the location. Go in time for sunset! I see another trip there in the near future. The best food I've had in... More
Fabulous Balinese food, run by a Dutch couple. Quality food on the level of fine restaurants in a big city.- worth the drive and a little extra $$. The Lumper appetizer is a must. Vegatarians, have no fear, they can accommodate.
We wholeheartedly agree with the glowing praise expressed in the other reviews! Ylang Ylang offers an atmosphere of grace, courtesy, friendliness, and a warm welcome. And, oh my, the flavors, dimensions, culinary artistry are beyond my ability to describe. I could add that Hans and Caroline are accommodating. We enjoy seafood but no other meat. They agreeably adapted the menu... More

Our host, Hans, was extremely helpful and informative in describing the different types of Indonesian cuisine. Wonderful flavors, unusual spices, and an exotic candlelit dining area all contributed to one of the best experiences we've had.
This is the second sitting at Ylang Ylang, both times were outstanding food flavour explosions not to be missed. Hans was kind enough to express the basis for Indonesian cooking, it all in natural and comes from the earth. I never would have imagined the spices that were used in the preparation of this exotic food and I mean exotic.... More

It was without a doubt the best food we ate during the entire trip. I could not tell you what we ordered but I think between the 7 of... More
I finally have some time to write this, 9 months after eating there. It's been a long time but the taste is still vivid, at least in my mind. I am not a fun of Asian kitchen, but we decided to give it a try and I am very happy we did. It changed my perception of Asian food. The... More
