Why? Why do I have to pay a forced gratuity of 17% if most of the times they dont deserve it!Why? Why do I have to pay tax over the gratutity?? Why? Why they dont give you your IVUreceipt, and make fun of it if you ask for it!! Food is good but so in many other friendlier restaurants in Puerto... More

This was our first time to the new location. My wife and I always come to bottles when we come to PR. My mother in law has a house in Guaynabo. We spent 200.00 on the 2 of us and it was worth every penny. From the decor, service, food quality, and location it is always a favorite when coming... More

Heard about this restaurant from a family member (THANK YOU) and have to say, it was great. Could have stayed longer and enjoyed more of their fantastic wine selections. And reasonable priced! Food is well worth a visit on its own, but come hungry or with lots of people. What's seems expensive on the first view, is actually very, very... More

Completely horrible service, and to top it off they force a gratuity charge on you, even if you are only a party of 2 or 3. Incredibly bad, because they can... they're forcing 17% on you, why bother serving you properly. Guaynabitos, in capitalism you vote with your dollars... keep leaving them here and you will keep being blackmailed by... More

Bottles is my favorite restaurant in PR. Whenever we travel to San Juan we go at least twice. The food is great as well as the wine selection. The Chef did prepare some dishes for us upon request and his owner Richard always present friendly and willing to help with the wine selection recommending wines that never disappointed me. Wines... So I have been to Bottles many times to have lunch with clients and friends and I have never been disappointed! My only warning is this. Their main dishes are enough to feed 2 men or 3 hungry women. The food is excellent but the portions are monster portions and if you walk around and pick up a bottle of... More

White bean soup with goat; it had good taste but small pieces of goat bones and cartilages! Definitely not for a restaurant that is charging so much for the food! Not even one car on the parking lot and you can’t park your car, they make you use the $3 valet parking! Outrageous; not going back!

Bottles is a good restaurant, there is no question about it. However, I think that the required 17% service charge is outrageous. They are disguising a gratuity by changing the nomenclature. The law in Puerto Rico clearly states that gratuities cannot be enforced. Service charges are not even required by 4 star restaurants in the island, unless the party is... More

I have been having business lunch in bottles in several times. Food very good, service, waitress, not good, not frendly, not customer oriented, not offering options to customers, maybe because the tip is included in the ticket. I was not seen any efforts in making the visit to the restaurant to be a good one. Finally, finally great service, friendly... More

Okay this place was highly recommended which just boggles the mind. When we walked in the place had a really bad energy; very chaotic and it wasn't clear who the host was. Took a few minutes to be seated despite the fact it was quite early and not many people were there. This place feels like a liquor store/gift shop... More

Richard G, Owner at Bottles, responded to this review

Since we change the menu's daily and its quite extensive we depend on the server's to explain what comes with each item. Seems to have worked for the past 15 yrs!! However what I find amusing is when someone comments like "They have booze for sale but they don't have a license to actually serve it."!!! We made the decision... More
