First time visiting this restaurant. At first, the appetizers tasted good but, after ordering more food we got disappointed. The dinner prices are not cheap so serving Risotto with "chicharrón" from a bag is not what I would expect. The rice with bacalao was salty. Not impressed with the food. On the other hand, our server gave us a very... More

Good food, great prices and friendly service. The risotto was cooked perfectly and the Mahi Mahi with Mango sauce was very good, but the Churrasco marinated in soy and ginger stole the show. Our waitress was great and we had a nice bottle of champagne at a great price. Would definitely return next time I'm in Puerto Rico.

The food is good. It's your average Cuban/Puerto Rican food. They also have a sushi bar. It's not out-of-this world food, but the prices are really good and it's close to where I live. It tends to get loud on the weekends, and that part I don't like. Some waiters are nice and some aren't. The food arrives on time.... More

For New Year's, the dining options were limited, but we fortunately found Caramelo open. There were 4 of us for dinner. The menu had enough items for a range of choices in each category. There was a sufficient amount of bottled craft beers available, in addition to the traditional choices you would expect. Bread service was fine, with butter and... More

Last Sunday I went to lunch with my daughter. She suggested Caramelo, besides enjoying the time with my daughter, I enjoyed the food there. It is a good mix of Cuban, Puerto Rican and International food. I heard that the sushi is good but I did not tried. I recommend it!

They had great variety of food. You must have the Grilled Skirt Steak Marinated in ginger and soy sauce and the Mahi- Mahi fried in batter is to die for. Excellent service!

I just cancelled my reservation to this place. It would be my first and we were a party of 4. Simply put I can not sponsor a restaurant where uncorking price depends on the category of the wine. When I called to make the reservation I asked if they allowed to bring your own wine and if so how much... More

Caramelo is a very busy lunch spot with a varied menu. You can get anything from sushi to Cuban inspired food, fish, meat or pasta dishes, even risotto. Service is fast and prices are okay for its location. I have always had fish or chicken and never been disappointed. The food is okay, nothing out of this world. If you... More
