That is the worst restaurant I have ever been to in Italy! The Italian food is famous all over the world and it is delicious, but the chef and the owner are destroying its reputation completely!!!! They forgot to give our order to the kitchen, we were waiting for 1 hour and a half with a bottle of water! Then... More

No I would not return. The service was fine and efficient bit quality of food left much to be desired. The calamari were large and undercooked and served with no attention to presentation at all. The antipasti looked a little worn an the salad was shoddy. Go elsewhere.

Went to this restaurant on a Saturday night and tried to book a table - the 'host' ( I use that term lightly) was very rude - in fact ignored us and some other people who were trying to get tables. When eventually getting his attention - the restaurant obviously does take away pizzas and this was all encompassing -... More

Uhmmm several random pictures Nice old fashioned photos on the walls but salty food. But astonishingly, agony that some dishes allow extensive elbow-room to remain destructively... I mean quite literally, indefatigable inebriation... Well, it's been nicer than mcdonalds.

I was at this restaurant with my family.... - We waited HALF AN HOUR for someone to take our order - The waiters were not prepared at all - We waited so much for the food that we had to threaten we would leave if it didn't come in 5 mins - When the food came, it was badly cooked... More

Lunch at this restaurant that comprised fish and shell fish based antipasti and a scrumptious plate of pasta with seafood and sauce with either a pistachio or almond base was a fitting end to a great Motoring holiday in Sicily for the New Year week. Service was also very good and the level of of hospitality was the cherry on... More

Several restaurant cluster near the crumbling remains of Avola's harbour, The Taverna del Pescatore is by far the largest and most popular with local families and parties. This creates a relaxed and informal atmosphere in the semi-open spaces behind the old stone facade. The buffet-style antipasti is justly praised and offers great choices. Plus a salad for lunch this would... More

We ended up here quite late one evening by default as nearby Pizza restaurant was closed .A little daunting on entering as the place is huge and staff were a little severe.BUT we were placed outside in pretty garden area and despite the place being absolutely heaving with an enormous Sicilian anniversary party ,we were served efficiently ,looked after very... Great place where to eat with fresh fish and great buffet of starter. Try tuna with spicy peppers and first dishes.

Fresh fish, local products and good prices. Mr. Caruso is very hospitable. The antipasti of the taverna is a must.
