The food was good, especially the pasteles which were VERY good, but the service is what will blow you away. The warmth with which they welcomed us was wonderful. The owner, Edwin, really cares about his clients - treated us like old friends. He plays his guitar and sings beautiful traditional puerto rican music along with his friend Tito the... More

I was searching for a different place to eat and to be authentic, and we finally visit El Gigante Dormido and the food was excellent. The service almost like if they know you years ago. I sing with the owner it was an awsome entertainment just like if I where in my own house. Blessings to this restaurant and may... More

My associate took me here for lunch this week for authentic Puerto Rican fare and we were not disappointed. I had the Chuleta Can Can and thought it was very tasty. We started out with an appetizer; a pastie. Not sure what was in it but it was explained that normally these would only be available at Christmas time. It... More

I'm not sure what are the good reviews are for. The food wasn't good and the service was bad. Be prepared to buy bottled water for $2 a piece as they have no tap water. Wouldn't advise.

I consider El Gigante Dormido Restaurant, my home away from home. (Since I don't live in Puerto Rico, this is the place that I invite family and friends to meet). For the past 2 years, when I go to Puerto Rico, I invite my brothers, sisters, in laws, niece and nephews for a family gathering to catch up and eat... More

I'm puertorican and for me it's one of the best places to eat our food. The place is excellent, the service is excellent and the history behind the restaurant is beautiful. It is a family-owned restaurant and the owner talks with you and even sings with his guitar. The love they give you is just so warming. Please! Como visit us!... More

We were looking for authentic Puerto rican food. This place had few but great reviews. Its in a residential area and one might feel lost finding it. We met the owner and he personally sat with us told us his story. He played us a few local songs on his guitar. Great hospitality. I had fish which I can surely... More
