Food was very good, especially the different types of Tuna. Tried Octopus, I was not very impressed with it but my wife thought it was lovely. Restaurant was very busy during lunch time on a Sunday. As working residents, not only summer or eastern walk ins, it's very desapointing spending all day working, many times even recomending and not even, sorry but it's not possible to give you a table, just given you a shooting atitude look and a cold iced, "we are closed" while taking a table of 3 order, and many more to go.... If you like octopus... you have to visit. We ate a 3 course lunch, each containing octopus. Confit octopus was the highlight - the most tender I have ever tasted. The bbq main was incredible, tender and charred to perfection. Great local wine too Sat outside in the sun, watching the fishing boats pass... perfection!

I am well travelled internationally and at the ripe old age of 75 consider myself as something of a food fundi.Today the emphasis on all our trip is on food and restaurants.Yesterday proved to be a red letter day and one worthy of special mention. We happened on Casa do Polvo hidden away in a small town far fram the maddening... A beautiful surprise. Fantastic food, good service and not too expensive. We eat various octopus dishes and they were all delicious. Definitely to repeat for food and the view of the Ria Formosa

We went there for dinner and were lucky enough to get a table immediately. Every plate we ordered was delicious, and obviously we didn't miss the octupus specialties. The price is medium, but good value for money.

Did not get menu for 10 min. No waiter before we left the restaurant after 30. Min. Then the head waiter started an argument.

Well, as you might expect from the name, here the octopus is cooked to perfection in many different ways. Grilled, in the oven, or fried... you will be satisfied! Try them all!!

We had two excellent seafood dinners at this restaurant this week. We went one evening, and had one of our best meals in Portugal, it was so good that we went back the next day. If you are in the mood for seafood, this is the place, they doo eveything well.

Santa Luzia is the capital of the octopus, and this is the best restaurant in town. This means you may have to wait for some time before you get a table. Monday's are tougher,as several near by restaurantes are closed. Tip: you must give your name and number of people to the owner. Until your name is in the blackboard,... More
