Indeed, the place to eat octopus

We were told by some friends who had visited Tavira to give this place a chance, since Santa Lucia is known as the Octopus' Capital. The meal was tasty, although it took a bit long to arrive, but the waiter apologized and was very nice about it. We had a beautiful view over the Ria Fomosa, enjoying... read more

Excelent service, very good atmosphere and the food... very, very good! Try Caril de Polvo, if you like spicy food, or the traditional Arroz de Polvo. Both 5*!!!

We have been there a year before for a Fado Night and the food was fine, so we thought it might be nice to come back for another dinner. But the service was slow and we got the olives and bread only when we had already the starter. And then there was raw garlic on everything, the salad, the polvo... More

Great rump steak while over visiting my mum and dad. The house red was great. Was a little cramped but a great night was had by all.

This is a very popular restaurant with excellent service great food and scenic surroundings close to shore front. There is a selection of meat and fish dishes which are very reasonable costing on average 15 euro per person including wine. I would certainly endorse this restaurant and will return to this beautiful village.

Friends who did not like polvo...were flabberghasted.. how is this possible? A carpaccio of polvo...incredible, so delicious! And then the artistic interior with tiles from famous artist Carlos Fonseca Martins. And Fado nights most Thursdays. And the charming village of Santa Luzia, where the fisherman's ships are parked in front of the terrace.

As mentioned by previous reviewers, service during busy times can be slow but the food more than made up for the service. It was one of the tastiest meals we have eaten during our week's stay. Price was reasonable as well around 17 euros per person for a main meal and lots of wine. I would recommend this restaurant to... More

You can't book here and it is seiously popular so either get there as it opens or be prepared to wait. Although they have a very civilised queuing system so waiting is not a chore. Lovely position at the end of the shore front. There is outside seating but interior is beautiful. We wanted to push two tables together near... More

We visited this restaurant at the end of a beach day in Terra Estreita. The food was so nice - I had octopus rice - and it was just delicious. If you're planning to have a meal there, arrive early at the diner time just because when we left there were lots of people waiting for table.
