You can't book here and it is seiously popular so either get there as it opens or be prepared to wait. Although they have a very civilised queuing system so waiting is not a chore. Lovely position at the end of the shore front. There is outside seating but interior is beautiful. We wanted to push two tables together near... More

We visited this restaurant at the end of a beach day in Terra Estreita. The food was so nice - I had octopus rice - and it was just delicious. If you're planning to have a meal there, arrive early at the diner time just because when we left there were lots of people waiting for table.

If you are a fan of octopus this is your home :) Second time at this place and loving it. They have a wide variety of octopus dishes, starters from octopus and even desert :).... Nice service Medium price per person between 15 and 20 depending on what you choose, but the main dish average price is 1€12

Efficient place and we felt treated well even with a baby on a busy night. Food was pretty good, if slightly salty...we tried two octopus varieties. Worth the drive from Castro Marim.

Really don't understand the popularity of this place, especially given there are exceptional restaurants in Sta Luzia (Casa do Adabe for example). Average food, over-priced, not very fresh, grumpy staff, menus are in Portuguese and while one person can translate, she didn't seem willing to go through the extensive range of choices. The octopus was OK but we'd had much... More

As regular visitors to the village we keep ourselves updated regarding the options around. There is a big fuss around this restaurant that we never could understand. That might be because it is a fashionable place (??) with some good press reviews in some national papers and magazines. Regarding food and service that it's what really matters this place is... We dropped in here for a drink and ended up sharing a 2 course octopus meal. We were on a 'passing through' visit to Santa Luzia and headed for this busy looking restaurant. The menu is only in Portuguese, and the nice waitress asked if we needed help. Octopus is the restaurant speciality so we had the octopus salad for... More

First visit here and with the menu only available in Portugese it was left to very friendly staff to explain and recommend various dishes. This seemed to take up a lot of time at different table and perhaps they should think about English,German and French translations. Having said that it didn't spoil our experience. Well worth the value.

Expectations where high and unfortunately weren't met. The patanisca was very good, we ordered clams but they forgot to bring them. Then we had the fried octopus that was very tasty but the bean rice was super dry, clearly microwaved. We also had the octopus rice with prawns. It was quite good but not exquisite. Electronic dance music as ambient... More

We went to this restaurant by chance and we were extremely happy that we did. The owner is the order taker and she recommended three appetizers and in addition, we wanted to get the grilled octopus with which she agreed. Neither one of us knew that octopus could be so tasty and prepared in so many different ways! I wish... More
