Top quality country pub. They always have some great choices of real ale. Log fires in the winter. Defiantly worth a trip out. The food is Italian and is very good.

We called in on New Years day and it was one of the few places in the area open. It was empty which didn't give it any atmosphere. The staff were wonderful and it was nice to see an open fire. We ate in the bar, the adjacent restaurant, Little Italy, was not open. You chose your pasta type, then... More

It was 8 months since our last visit and I'm pleased to say it's just as good now as it was then. We ate in the pub this time as the restaurant was quiet. The food was just as plentiful as always and the quality is excellent. The staff are friendly and efficient and the beers good too. What's not... More

Had a lovely meal here, admittedly it was our first visit so we didn't know what to expect. We booked a table for 4 of us at 730 and after being given the menu to peruse whilst having a drink in the bar area went into a completely empty restaurant on a Friday night at 8pm. I don't mind saying... More

Visited last Sunday with the family and received a very warm friendly welcome. We all ordered beef and roast turkey dinners which came with five different veg together with roast and boiled potatoes . It was delicious and very good value for money. This traditional country pub is definitely worth a visit with a real fire going - you couldn't... More

On arriving on our Thursday date night at The Dartmouth Arms we were welcomed in and ordered a drink and was told we had arrived a little to early to order, we found our table and the 20 minute wait soon went and the menus were presented, everything sounded wonderful on the menu and starters and mains were ordered. All... More

1st time visiting and food was amazing with so much to choose from, unfortunately the waiter let the experience down. A smile was far to much to ask for and and he was extremely unhelpful when we asked a question about the menu. Won't stop us from going again but such a shame that the service want a patch on... Booked on Friday night to visit on Saturday but almost cancelled after reading a couple of bad reviews, oh so glad I didn't. As you drive into the car park the pub is beautiful and quaint, the inside doesn't let down either. We were greeted by a helpful young man who served our drinks seated us in the lounge and... More

Visited for Sunday lunch. Nice pub friendly staff. The food is really mediocre and ridiculously overpriced. I had "king prawn" main course. Not king prawns by any stretch of the imagination, the kind that you get at supermarket frozen and labelled as King prawns but really are just slightly big prawns. £18. The wife had a chicken dish. Chicken breast... More
