Chimney fire but service continues

We had a bit of theatre, seating, wine served, Antipasti arrived and then firemen seen wandering around the restaurant. We're advised they have a chimney fire - so the menu is reduced (probably a good thing for our wastelines!) we continue, all works. Fortunately the fire has no effect on the... read more

The waiting staff move with that effortless efficiency that only years of experience can bring, the wine waiter (or cellar master) has a feel about him that makes you thing each wine is his friend. We've eaten here before and will eat again - we were not brave, we had the selection of antipasti from the menu as this is... More

House wine delicious. Grilled meats really good (everything a little too salty for us). Very typical food. Great service. They opened another room to accommodate our large group of 7 and made us feel welcome and special.

I had dinner more then once in this Tuscan restaurant, near the town of Pietrasanta( it certainly worths a visit, before or after dinner) among the olive trees. It has a large porch and a garden for the summer, while inside the atmosphere is very traditional with bottles of wines and wood. The food is very good and the prices... More

If you're in the area definitely worth booking in advance and going to this restaurant, great food in a lovely atmosphere. Love everything on the menu!

This very quaint trattoria still ran by a husband and wife serves the most delicious traditional Northern Tuscan dishes at a very reasonable price. I was there for a work trip in a group of 10 and we ate everything from local lardo to handmade maccheroncini pasta and roasted pork and beef. Dessert was delicious and the cantina with its... More

This is a very poular restaurant and you need to book in good time. Having visited over many years it never disappoints. The lamb chops are yummy with a side order of roast potatoes. The meats and potatoes are grilled over an open fire in the centre of the restaurant. Wines are good and varied. Staff friendly. All in all... More

You get what you pay for. This 60 year old institution is very well priced (hard to spend more than €60 for two all in), but don't get too excited as the food is average at best. But it's a buzzy, friendly place and worth including on your list.

We sat inside which had a good atmosphere, several rooms, some outside, all surrounded by bottles of wine. It's a typical looking Tuscan Trat. The menu is not too big, and seems to specialise in Big bits of meat...Steak Florentina etc There is a mixed antipasti, which looked ok, the pasta we all wanted was finished [truffle] other pasta was not...
