If you really want to enjoy genuine Tuscan cuisine in a very freindly setting with breathtaking views all around, you must come to Vellano, you must come to Serena's Bistrot! Utterly friendly service, very reasonable prices and simple yet excellent dishes, including great pizza, home made pasta and signature antipasti. And if you've had too much wine and don't want... We booked our Vellano stay from a Brisbane referral, off the beaten tourist trail...what a beautiful little hillside village! We have had the best coffee since arriving in Italy. Serena makes them caldo e veloce. We had an excellent dinner here with lovely Casa vino and home cooked meals. The drive is not for the feint hearted but the views are... More

This is one of the best kept secrets in northern Tuscany - the Bistrot in Vellano. With the breathtaking views aross the 'deici castella' or hilltop villages and wonderful food (their ravioli with fresh vegetables was the best food we'd had all holiday!). This restaurant is very reasonably priced and you get the best of what is fresh and local... More

Whilst on holiday in Tuscany we visited this friendly restaurant in Vellano on several evenings. Their tourist menu is such good value at 10 Euros which included Pasta, a main course and wine and coffee. Our son opted for the pizza and loved it. The owners were really friendly and even on night when we popped in for a drink... More

Very friendly family atmosphere, clean, good service and the food (although limited choices) was very nice. 2 main meals and a bottle of red wine was only 20 Euros. Within easy walking distance of casa verde. Dan & Joan Lehain

Small unpretentious pizzeria in a delightful mountain village. Good value pizza with a few other things on the menu too. Friendly service.
