William Tell restaurant in Thornton, NH has closed. There was an ice cream place there for a season, but it closed as well.

We ate at Tell's as part of a rather large group. They reserved a section of the restaurant for us and allowed us to order off the menu. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was very good, but the kitchen and servers were overrun by our numbers. Despite some people being served too late, most everyone in... More

We passed a few crowded restaurants and decided to try Tell's. We were seated in a cozy corner and had a really nice meal. The pork medallions were delicious and my daughter and my son's girlfriend raved about the salmon. We finished the meal with a delicious HUGE portion of white chocolate bread pudding. Service was friendly and efficient and... More

New Year's Eve at Tell's of Waterville was phenominal! The food was superb and the wait staff treated our party like royalty. After dinner we went into the pub and joined the crowd listening to Justin Jaymes. Simply a great time from beginning to end.

Tried dinner there on a Friday night après ski... Waitress took 20 minutes to take our order after we asked for a couple more minutes. Bagged lettuce salad with only 2 chunks of red onion, 2 tomato chunks and 2 slices of pepper. Bread was not fresh, Ok mussel appetizer, WAY overcooked kids pasta, ok pizza, and don't know how... Telly's provided us with excellent service and the food was delicious. It's a bit more expensive than we were expecting ($17-$24 per entree and expensive appetizers) but if you're looking for a nice place for dinner in the area that isn't a noisy tavern, you won't go wrong here.

My college friend and I were staying at a condo in NH and wanted to go out for dinner. I had eaten at Tell's last January with a big group of people and the food was great - and wrote a review about it then. Well, we went back - just planning to get the Pub fare - which I... More

Loved Kevin (front of house) and Charlie (cocktails) and everything about Tell's. Drove in knowing nothing but hungry and tired. Left fulfilled on all accounts. Kevin let us practically create our own menu of items (one gluten-free guest) and served everything with style and grace, and was not intrusive in any way. Friendly bar keeper chatted with us near the... More
