Lovely food, cosy atmosphere

Have been here a number of times, it can be very busy so be prepared to wait for a table or get there early.there is a good menu selection and generous with their serves. Not a cheap meal for a coffee shop.but food is always tasty.

I have been visiting this quaint establishment for the last 20+ years now, starting off as a child myself and now taking my own children there. The staff are so friendly and have amazing memories for regulars and special orders which always makes you feel special. Even when they are busy the staff are always polite, kind and obliging. It... Went here with a friend for lunch. Very quaint building, nice inside with a big fire burning. We only had the fingers of toasted bread with Cappucinos. It was a nice warming snack, and they made a good Cappucino exactly as I ordered. The girls serving were lovely, very attentive, and quick service. The food was nice, I thought a... More

everyone has read or heard about Agatha Christie's disarming little old lady who happens to be up there with Poirot when it comes to solving unforgettable crimes, and so does the need to step into this charming little tearoom just in case you may catch something or someone doing what they shouldn't. this quaint little store offers sumptious cream cakes,... Had lunch at Miss Marple's on a very cool day in autumn. Whilst it was pretty full, we didn't have to wait for a table (avoid weekends and Mondays!) ... and the food was served quickly. We shared a plate of sandwich fingers so that we would have room for the delightful devonshire tea. Piping hot Yorkshire Gold tea completed... More

I read the earlier reviews on TripAdvisor and expected an 'okay' visit. I was delightfully surprised to find yummy food at reasonable cost, friendly waitresses, fast service and a warm fire! We picked a cold rainy day too to avoid a crowd.

This place must trade on its past reputation. It's so disappointing, very cramped, the wait staff are rude, the scones are the worst I've eaten, not a scone texture at all, mass baked in a big tray and cut up into individual ones. Really over priced. I am surprised they are still in business actually because in Melbourne we have... More

Miss Marple's has a warm and cosy atmosphere. The service was efficient and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our food arrived promptly and was tasty and well presented. My very filling ploughman's lunch included a mountain of very fresh salad. Out tea arrived in large pots, with plenty for two people in each pot. We had arrived at... More

My husband and l ate at these tea rooms on a Wednesday lunchtime. We arrived at 1 pm and were escorted to a table immediately by a very friendly waitress. We both enjoyed a lovely bowl of tomato, carrot and coriander soup served with garlic bread. Delicious and very filling. After this we ordered one serve of scones to share... More

Went here recently with my wife for afternoon tea on a Monday. We've been wanting to go for years, but everytime we're in the area (weekends) it's always booked up with a long queue. The outside is beautiful and reminiscent of an English country cottage. On entering we were promptly sat by the helpful staff. The inside is a little... More
