This takes the award as the WORST restaurant we have EVER been to anywhere in the southern hemisphere! First of all, we were confronted by the rudest, most offensive excuse for a waitress we have ever encountered who stood behind the counter loudly berating customers as they entered like some harridan in a boarding school! There was no smile, not... More

the food in miss marples is mainly imported from china, ie the scones and jam, I heard from good sources that the scones are frozen and microved, taste stale wont waste my money.

this lovely long establioshed venue is well worth the visit. situated in Sassafras, it is THE place to visit for lunch. the menue is is punctuated with well loved favourites. the atmoshphere is based on the old Miss Marple films which starred Margaret Rutherford and the walls are dotted with photos from her Mis Marple series of films. the only... Having heard of and seen this cafe many times over the years we finally visited yesterday, as did many others too! Had our names put on the waiting list and returned 40 minutes later for a light lunch. The Welsh rarebit fingers were okay but not especially tasty but the scones were a big letdown. Instead of being the usual... More

Decor was charming because they were celebrating Christmas in July. Food was mediocre and the scones were a disappointment. Not much great service to rant about. It is probably one of those joints that tourists going to the Dandenongs for the very first time will stop at. As such, they will continue to attract crowds regardless of food quality or... More

Everyone was raving about it- got in at 11am, the scones were microwaved and tasted old. The coffee was ok but the food was just bland. Not sure what all the fuss was about!

Paid a visit on a cold and wet Melbourne winters day, had to wait for a table, but once seated, it was nice and warm and cosy inside. I wasn't fussed about the scones, not quite how I like them, but everything else was excellent. Well worth a visit but be prepared to wait for a table.

The scones is a must-have kind of food in here. Beautiful and lovely cafe, with friendly and helpful staffs. Is packed and crowded most of the time, but it's worth waiting! It's better if you can make a reservation before you come.
