This place has a lot of hype about it, but on arrival I couldn't figure out why. We knew about the long waiting times, so we made a point of arriving half an hour before it opened. Food was average and serving sizes were very small for the price. Scones were more like a sponge cake.

I have just arrived to live on Mt Dandenong for a few months with family. Knowing I love Tea and scones, they said to come here. I was so excited to come here. I was hoping they would be of a similar quality I had up in Cairns on the Kuranda Railway. Miss Marples scones were awful. Firstly I believe... More

Scones are dry and horrible and not real scones just some dry weird cake thing with icing sugar on top. What's with that!! How disappointing. I have wanted to go to miss Marples for 25 yrs. and finally had the opportunity to take some overseas visitors, how embarrassing!!! Bad Bad Bad!! Scones are bad and the rest of the food... More

A casual trip up to the Dandenongs was made all the more special by visiting Miss Marple's Tea Room with quick service & a simple but effective menu. Definitely worth the 45 minute wait.

After a great first experience some years ago I decided on a second visit with two friends on a recent drive into the Dandenong Ranges. Unfortunately I wasn't as impressed this time around. The tables were very close to each other and as it was lunchtime it was very crowded and noisey. We were particularly disappointed by the scones for... More

I'm a Coeliac and I went here because it lists having gluten free options available. When I spoke to the waitress the only thing available was ice cream which was disappointing and I felt mislead by their claim to accommodate intolerances. My friends ate the 'scones' and were underwhelmed. Service was unfriendly. Probably a good option for tourists, otherwise I... More

We were doing the Dandenong tourist drive and saw the lovely Miss Marple's. It was like stepping back in time to Old England. The décor and atmosphere was lovely, with lots of quirky ornaments decorating the walls. But we were there to eat, and eat we did. The food is very well priced and the serving sizes are enormous.
